F*#k a f#*kin FRS... No comparison to a Z. Frs is torque-less, powerless and though it winds out Ok for street driving. Go on the highway and you're doing nothing. That said, the Z is perfect to feel like you're doing something on street and highway. The vette, you instantly feel the track ability of the car even in normal driving. If I'm on the street 90% of the time... Corvette is a lot of car. Not saying I wouldn't consider it. I'm just waiting for all these 16's to release before I make a decision.

The corvette is one of the sickest cars I've driven. But nterested in the upcoming camaro as well. As they gear them more for the street.

I did drive the vette only in sport mode though. I wouldn't know what comfort feels like.

 makes sense.

ahhhh i love the Z man...came back full circle to it Only other car id rather be driving is a GTR...ive been looking for a good deal now and still searching

Usually the people that talk negatively about the 370Z are people that have never had anything more powerful and/or upgrading to something more powerful. They act as if they are "growing" away or better now. Im a Z Guy, a Z enthusiast, Ive had way more powerful cars before but i Love Z's and Nissans. The Nissan Z culture and people.

Meh I'm of the mindset that it's a car and it's made for driving. Not buying it to hard park at C&C meets or sit in my garage all the time. The less you worry about those kind of things, the more you will actually enjoy owning the car.

The 2016 C7's just entered product at the beginning of this week and the first deliveries should be completed in around 3-5 weeks. As far as the different modes, from my research they're only noticeably different if you get the Magnetic Selective Ride Control feature (which I did order). The one that I drove was completely base so I haven't actually driven one with the MRSC yet. Probably should have done that before I ordered one :icon17:

I just turned 60 and I will never drive a grandpa car.

C&D just did a a 40,000 mile review this month on their longterm Jaguar F-Type V8 S. They really like it so far. Their major complaint was that tires wear out fast ... Course they all drive it like mad so go figure.

Depends on what you're comparing it to. If you're looking at cars around the $30-40k range I don't think it's all that competitive. The Mustang and Camaro definitely out class the Z in terms of performance. When the 370Z was first released, it was competitive with those 2 cars. Both Ford and GM have updated them since then and left the Nissan behind because it failed to do the same.

This is the reason why I didn't even consider a Z for my next car purchase. If they had released one or confirmed any details that revealed it could be competitive with those cars soon I may have considered getting another one. I had decided on getting a 2016 5.0 earlier this year and then I started looking at used C7's. As soon as I test drove one, my mind was pretty much made up. Just placed an order for a 2016 C7 like 2 weeks ago and should be getting it delivered around late August. :excited:

And now the Gen 6 Camaro has SRM and the LT1. Weight is down as well. If it handles well, could be a valid replacement although, it is still 3700 lbs.

Ima stikin wit da Z. I like it ... looks good and goes good. I smile every time I get in.

The test drive is easy. It's making a dealer understand, "no credit checks till ready to purchase" is the hard part. Like me... I'm back in test drive mode... If every effin schmuck in a dealership ran my credit for every car I want to test drive. I'd lose 40 points on my score. Don't need that right now. :tiphat:

Last I heard. GM is still trying to shave weight. They said they'll keep trying till a few days before production. They are DETERMINED!!!

KUDOS to the Camaro team!

thats gonna be a monster, it will take over the 5.0's reign for the segment. The new mustang doesnt even come into play since its common knowledge they are a bit slower than the 11-14's

plus the camaro looks good!

So ... I admit, I did not do any detailed research. First article that came up gave a weight range of 3600-3700 lbs. Naturally I took the high number cuz I own a Z and I want to make it appear the new Camaro is 300+ more pounds than my Z. May not be fair ...

I don't care :icon17:

Look on the bright side. We will most likely be 300lbs lighter....

Also 123 less horses or +41HP extra per 100lbs
And 185 lbs less torque or +61.5lb tq extra per 100lbs.
Wow!

That's like adding a Nissan leaf to a Z. Lol

I hear people make complaints about the Nissan rumor mills all the time and, honesty, it cracks me up. If they bother you, don't listen to them or read them. It's like folks who b!tch about what is on TV. If you don't like it, if it bothers you, if it causes you to lose sleep or seek professional counseling -- don't watch it.

Truly, it is quite simple.

All this talk and wasted energy about what the future Z may or may not be is a huge waste of time. Who cares about the next Z? Is it here now? No. Can any of us change it? No. Is it all just conjecture and meaningless fluff? Yes. Are dogs superior pets to cats? Yes.

Enjoy what you have. Make the best of it. Live in the present. Stop worrying. Be the young willow tree bending in the wind. Embrace the "Now". Use the Force. Feel the burn. I'm not sure I can go with "never run with scissors." That should be my native name ... Runs With Scissors
