Some Sales persons w/o knowlege of the 370z?

I test drove an RX8 once and the salesperson wanted to go on the test drive with me (which doesn't bother me usually). She turned out to be so ignorant

I test drove an RX8 once and the salesperson wanted to go on the test drive with me (which doesn't bother me usually). She turned out to be so ignorant that she didn't even know what kind of engine it had. She was completely unqualified to be selling that particular car and that made her about 200lbs of dead weight. After the test drive, I went across town to the other Mazda dealer.

These are not generic family sedans, they are special cars. Salespeople who aren't qualified to answer questions on them should be required to get help as soon as they find out what you are looking at.

With the recession, I'm pretty sure the clueless ones will get laid off.

Or at least get less hours

i sell cars at the nissan dealership in daytona beach, I also own a 350z now and am thinking of trading on the 370z, the thing drives unbelievably, the synchrorev is awesome, and it is true, most salesman are uneducated ******** that have no pride or knowledge of their product. It just takes time to find a qualified, knowledgable salesman that will treat you with respect. After all, it is someone spending 30 odd thousand dollars.

my salesman told me the Z gets to 60 in under 4 sec. haha. correcting the salesman on his facts is half the fun of car buying!

it would be nice to be able to communicate w sum1 who knows the car, especially when your about to hand over 30+ g's

crazy.
Well is understandable that the car is new in the market and they might not know everything of the car, but some arguments, lack of knowledge and trying to say something that is not correct, is like random.
The 370z, 350z, GTR, or lets say, almost any sport car in the market, the person who is very interested in that particular vehicle, knows what is all about or almost have a big general idea of that particular vehicle, because of forums, magazines reviews, internet reviews, you name it.
I think that most of sales persons, should be more oriented to that particular area

This is why I love MINI dealers. I used to have a 2005 Cooper S, and any "motoring advisor" (salesperson) that worked there knew as much (or more) as I did about the car. A couple of the salesmen of my old dealer post on MINI specific forums too.

I really don't care for FWD cars, but the dealership experience at MINI is unreal

Yup when I went to some dealers I knew much more than the sales people did.
