In NYC girls like the car i hear it all the time on red lights, stop sings, but you do get the as***les cut you off, stop out of nowhere on the highway and more. At this point i dont care, i just want to get from point A to point B in one peace.

Fuzzzy 06-05-2015 10:17 PM

Other drivers must be too busy talking on their cell phones to even notice my Z.

P's_Z 06-05-2015 11:54 PM

 and stares sometimes, mostly when washing my car at the gas station, ill have people come over and ask about the car, how i keep it shiny, etc. no f*cks, a$$holes, pr!ck so far for me

MyZ4U2C 06-05-2015 11:56 PM

2 admirers yesterday and a guy who yelled out "nice car" as I was waiting to turn as they drove by today...total of 3 "likes" in 2 days...better than I do on facebook!

Leroydsouza 06-06-2015 12:14 AM

Its surprising, But i knew this before i bought the car anyway.

I can see atleast 15 Supercars if i leave my house and drive for about 15 minutes.
But the Z will draw attention everytime. I dont understand why, Its probably bcz its not common around here. Mustangs and Camaros (Sometimes with that muscle v6 lol), No one really cares for them. The New Mustang is beautiful though - For now

I usually get people asking me what car is it. Lol.
Also it attracts Car talks with strangers, Always enjoy that.
All nice comments for now.

Had this happen to me today....Driving the speed limit, lifted truck come flying up behind me and tails me for a few blocks, finally he gets an opening to pass me and proceeds to flip me off as he passes

lj909 06-06-2015 10:48 AM

That's CA for ya. People in there bro trucks do whatever they want

UNKNOWN_370 06-06-2015 11:14 AM

Mostly stares but ill get some mustang h8, germaphile douchebaggery and civic/toyobaru fly by's

KatmanII 06-06-2015 03:43 PM

Only had mine for a little over a month. In that time, a few folks have come over to get a closer look at gas stops. On the road, several Camaro's, Mustang's, WRX's have pulled up alongside and tried to get me to race. I'm an old man and I don't play those young punk games. I just ignore them and carry on, minding my own business.

PhantaPhanta 06-06-2015 04:31 PM

Only happens at stoplights. When those honda civics stop next to me. They start Reving the **** out of their fart can like no fking tomorrow. I just sit back and laugh.

Lights turn green, their car goes massive aggresive fart can. If you close your eyes you would think damn their car is fast with like 600hp and they slamming that pedal. Then you open your eyes to only see them going like 10mph.:shakes head:

Another story is when I go pick up younger cousins from school, I guess you can call them tini boppers. The kids there start screaming out "I LOVE YOUR CAR." I prefer people my age screaming that but I'll take all the compliments.

Lastly, when I drive by other Z's. I always want to thumbs up them but I feel a little embarrassed. Then I drive by and get a really good look at the driver and see a grandma driving which i assume their son/daughter/grandkid's car. I once gave a thumbs up and got mugged. Never again. Never. Again.

Wait what??

AngelNismo 06-06-2015 09:58 PM

Every time I see a mustang, camaro, honda coupe, if the traffic permits, I'm going to get at them ASAP. If traffic doesn't permit I'll drive defensively and watch as other people flip them off for trying to provoke me lol.

Reading some of the responses, lucky that I live in Hawaii, only positive comments and actions by other people/drivers.

MyZ4U2C 06-06-2015 10:56 PM

3rd day of getting a compliment in a row here!

tnav 06-06-2015 11:10 PM

People stare at the wheels for some reason, they are stock 19s, I think they look great since the car is lowered and has a nice fat tires 275/305

Yep, I think the red calipers make it stand out!

As for the civics trying to race, does that really still happen??

Oh yes, that really still happens. Come to think of it, crazies have been trying to race me for years when I am driving a Z. I don't care to partake in the douche baggery myself. I keep running into a 350z roadster on the way home that tries to race. Observing him weaving in and out of traffic I have come to the conclusion it continues to be the right decision.

axmea? 06-07-2015 12:20 AM

They wanted my autograph.

Limeybastard 06-07-2015 12:34 AM

Most is sh** attention tranformed into aggression within moments of seeing me, main culprits around me are single mothers in SUV's picking up their illegitimate children from school or redneck gypsies riding in their stilted pickup trucks donning a pitbull or two in flatbed, sometimes even kids riding safely in there.

2xtreme1 06-07-2015 12:53 AM

I haven't had a compliment in a while.. now that I think of it.
Last one was from a co-worker who didn't know I had this car. She said, "nice car, Is this a special edition or something? I really like this one". I think she was getting confused with the ugly 350z (no offense).
When I first got the car three years ago I would get thumps up, compliments, stares, people taking pics, etc; not so much anymore.

axmea? 06-07-2015 01:35 AM

The Z parked on its own speaks for itself. Once it is driven. It is a whole different ball game. Drive it like a douche, you get an equal response. Drive it like a gentleman, you get what you deserve. The Z gets what it is due mainly how it is driven by the driver behind the wheel.

I don't think that is valid statement. You can drive like a gentleman and still get the douchebag response, people trying to push you off the road, and the folks that just have to pass that sports car in the minivan. It is just the way it is.

Let's just agree to disagree. All I'm saying is you get in return what you put out. If you drive like a douche, you deserve what you get in return. Out here where in from, I have not had a negative response simply because I was driving a Z.

RomerZ 06-07-2015 07:27 AM

Hey guys new to the forum and living in Clarksville, TN and have had my Z for about 3 weeks now and have had a lot of people trying to race me from Mustangs to BRZs. Kind of typical though for an Army post area though. A lot of ricer flybys, especially from BRZs and FRS. Same thing happens to my buddy who rides in a 2010 Hyundai GC.

geddy lee 06-07-2015 02:50 PM

Not that much, I got far more attention, comments, and stares from my 1994 MKIV Supra. They are so rare to see now. I might see 1 every year at this point.

370ZAWAIIAN 06-07-2015 07:13 PM

for clowns

sorry to hear that some idiot ran you off the road, sometimes jackasses are jealous because they drive a ford "PINTO" or VEGA.
thats why i mounted a 200mm cannon anti jackass rocket launcher in my front grill. I let them run me off, or pass me......... then they get the nastiest surprise they never expected!!!!!!!! when i look back i can never see what happend to them because all i see is a cloud of black dust....LOLhttp://www.the370z.com/images/smilies/icon18.gif

Come out to Texas, that will change your perspective on the "you get what you put out" ideology...sadly.

People in the South are more friendly out in public, no one said anything about the drivers.

See my previous response to this thread rafael :)

I get tons of attention in my Nismo. 99% of it is positive but still get dumb ricers trying to get me to race as well.

kenchan 06-08-2015 03:24 PM

a passing taffyapple lady gave me a stare while i sat waiting for the light.. :ugh:

i think she thought my car was a fruit or berry or something edible...

cranzy 06-08-2015 08:22 PM

The first few months after I got the car, I felt like everybody was trying to race me, vans, ricers etc. Now I'm getting a lot of stares when driving during the day cuz of my loud exhaust. Either way, I like the car very much, so I'm not going to part with it just because someone doesn't like it.

Could have sworn my car caused a minor fender bender at a red light due to a wrx I think it was not stopping into the camry beside me lol. This was last year. Lots of thumbs ups and waves and no haters sofar.

Debiandog 06-09-2015 04:40 AM

I think the funniest reaction I have so far is from some some lady in a Camry . I pulled into a gas station with aggressive downshift (and the arc exhaust was barking) to refuel and she starts yelling at me. I rolled down my window and said, "what?!?!" (confused) She said, "you need to return my car! I said you could borrow it... not have it! " . She kept on the facade saying "that's my car you're driving and I said you could borrow it and not have it!" I said, "Oh... I'm sorry I'm just having so much fun with it... maybe I'll return it next week." and laughed. She she said, "the car is just so beautiful! It should mine"
