2theextreme - Rest in Peace
This was just posted to Tony's Facebook profile by his aunt:
It is with great sadness that I write these words. My nephew, Tony Freedman, died yesterday morning in a car accident on his way to work. No other cars were involved and no one else was hurt (this would be very important to Tony). Tony was not only my nephew, he was my best friend and my only living relative. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was kind and generous. I will miss him more than I can say.Tony was a great guy. I will miss him dearly. RIP bud. |
Wow... RIP.
Glad no one else was injured |
Rip.

RIP Tony.
He was with us (MAZOC) from the very beginning in 2009. He was hilarious and a genuinely nice guy. I'll miss him dearly. :( |
I hate seeing threads like this. They appear all too often on enthusiast sites, especially motorcycle forums. Does anybody know what happened?
RIP |

above is all the info we have found so far.

Terrible news :(

It makes me so sad to see threads like this. RIP

RIP Tony - one of those guys that was truly generous to the core.

I remember back when the370z.com was still a new place to hang out at. Tony was one of the original members that really embraced the Z, and turned his car into something he could call his own. The roll call he did was hilarious since he barely made it through the list of people drinking all that beer. I never did get the chance to meet him in person, but I always appreciated his friendship here.
RIP Tony, you will be missed by all. |
Condolence to the family.
|
Thank You Ben for sharing.
Im very sad from hearing these news :( While WE never met in person he seemed to be a very cool guy, and I can only send my thoughts and prayers to his family. I'll always remember the good times WE had here. RIP Tony |
A role model and a good friend of the forum passed away this morning.
May he rest in peace. Condolences to his aunt and the family |

I only knew Tony from here on the forum and being Facebook pals. He always had a kind word or joke when needed and never had anything negative to say. He will be missed. RIP

Someone said he was generous, this is the truth to the fullest sense of the word, he gave me his blue Z mat, which I still have in my Z to this day, it'll have special meaning now. Im gonna miss this dude, he had such big heart.

my man showed up with socks and sandals lol loved it. sad day on here and the fb site. i'm happy to see all the love being shown for his passing though. |
Oh no!!! I didn't see anything mentioned, but I wonder if it was health related. IIRC, he had a history of seizures and was unable to drive for months when he had the Z. I'm so sad to hear this... we've had great talks about LED headlight work and whatnot. I did the custom mods to the triple meter gauges for his Z awhile back when it was in the body shop. It was white lettering on black face, blue LED backlit, and the needles lit up white. He never got around to installing it, so we never got photos of it in action.
http://www.the370z.com/747744-post50.html It has a been a long time since I've talked to him. I just noticed his phone number is still in my contacts. R.I.P., Tony! :( |
Man, Tony kept that car spotless man, I tell ya, everytime I saw it, it looked like it just rolled off the showroom floor..
I seriously think we should get together (us people here in the DC area), take a collection and get his family flowers. |
