Was very saddened to hear about Tony's passing today, please relay my well wishes to his family

Spent alot of time drooling over his car as he was building it over the years and he seemed like a really nice guy from any interactions I had with him. He was way too young to have passed away.

Zrider79 04-30-2015 01:32 AM

Damn man

JNews86 04-30-2015 03:09 AM

Damn this is sad. I loved this guy during my time here. RIP brotha.

GM_Traitor3.5 04-30-2015 07:44 AM

We'll all miss him dearly. Integral part of MAZOC, one of the nicest folks I've ever had the pleasure of getting to call my friend.

I'll never forget you buddy. :(

SmoothZ 04-30-2015 07:52 AM

RIP Tony.

So young and full of life.

FuszNissan 04-30-2015 08:02 AM

:wtf2:

Tony, may you rest in peace. A true car enthusiast! Tony was so full of life and always wore his heart on his sleeve. No matter where he went he was sure to make friends to whomever was around to listen. The only guy I know who would detail his car in the rain for a chance to win a car show!

axmea? 04-30-2015 08:17 AM

So sad to hear someone's passing. I don't know Tony but I do know he has touched many lives of forum members. RIP

98intrigue 04-30-2015 09:11 AM

Wow, this is sad news... One of the OGs here on the370z.com.

Although I never met him in person, I have talked to him before as he gave away his Zdayz registration to me back in 2011 when I last made it up there. He was so excited to get his car into the car show at Zdayz, but was unable to make it and allowed me to take over his registration. It was bitter sweet that I ended up with the 1st place Wild 370Z award that year.

ZeroZ34 04-30-2015 10:36 AM

Rest in Peace and my condolences to his fiends and family. I never met him but, I'm sure he was a great guy.

Z Stig 04-30-2015 11:17 AM

This was such sad news. What people are saying on here and FB should help those who were not fortunate enough to know him to appreciate who he was.

He was the first MAZOC crew that I met when I went to my first meet. When I parked at the meet, the only other Z in the lot was this Smurf blue 370Z that was decked out with great show parts. We talked about his car for a few minutes and then he walked over to mine and proceeded to show interest in my "mostly stock" 370Z. He enjoyed talking about cars and had a way of making you like your car all over again. Great guy and my thoughts and prayers go out to his Aunt, who I know he cared a lot about. Never got to meet her, but he talked about her a lot.

Again he had a great heart and will be missed by a lot of people!

RIP Tony...

JARblue 04-30-2015 05:47 PM

Death is not only a time of loss and pain but an opportunity to celebrate a life. I see the posts here and on FB as an outpouring of celebration, honoring Tony. And it's a testament to Tony that his death could also bring joy to so many, as they remember and relish the memories of his life.

Love all the stories guys. It feels like I knew him ... even though I only conversed with him a few times here on the forum :tiphat:

Mike 04-30-2015 05:55 PM

I'm going to miss you Tony! We definitely had a great ride in my car at Barber though!

I just heard :(

Tony was awesome. He was one of the reasons I was on this forum for so long, one of the reasons I was OG, one of the reasons I was in maZoc.

I drove his car to Z Nationals years back, it's one of the best road trips I've ever been on. Really really gonna miss that man.

Really sad to hear, RIP.

I remember his blue smurf and liked seeing what all he was doing to it next. So much inspiration to a lot of us that just got into the 370Z...

VABAM 05-02-2015 05:02 AM

For those who might have missed it on Facebook;
ZDayZ changed their t-shirt for this year.
A small but nice tribute to Tony.

I've been in contact with Tony's aunt, Susan the last few days. There won't be a memorial service in the typical sense, because Susan and I both thought that just wasn't his style. He'd want his friends and family to laugh and have a great time together at a car meet because that's what he loved himself.

So, after ZdayZ is wrapped up, we (MAZOC) are planning to have a memorial car meetup in his name in the coming weeks. We're trying to have it on a weekend where the weather is nice in the Fairfax, VA area. We'd love as many people as possible to come out, share stories of our good times with each other and possibly head to the Springfield, VA area to a local hole in the wall where Tony's aunt Susan has a friend who has graciously offered to provide food for all in attendance (drinks are on you).

Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions. We're still working out a date so that we can get as many people together as possible to remember our good friend Tony. Probably looking at the weekend of May 30th right now.

Thanks everyone.

-Jay R.

That's awesome^ Wish I could make it :(

Sorry to hear about this :'( Cars we can always replace, lives, never.

A big thank you to Jay for reaching out to Susan and getting the ball rolling on this. I think we'll really be able to honor Tony in a way that he would have loved to see.

For those of you going to ZDayZ, I will be bringing a little something special with me for us to take part in which I think Susan will really appreciate. Again, thanks to Jay with helping brainstorm this little idea...

It is with great sadness that I write these words. My nephew, Tony Freedman, died yesterday morning in a car accident on his way to work. No other cars were involved and no one else was hurt (this would be very important to Tony). Tony was not only my nephew, he was my best friend and my only living relative. He had a wonderful sense of humor and was kind and generous. I will miss him more than I can say.
Tony was a great guy. I will miss him dearly. RIP bud.

I just learned of Tony's passing. Even though it is late, I still want to send my heartfelt sentiments regarding the loss of Tony. Back in the early days of this Forum when I first became a member, Tony was a big player in making the Forum the success that it was, and still is today. I am very saddened to hear that Tony is gone. Tony was one of a kind, a very special person.
