It wasn't curbed no metal was actually damaged just the paint. So Illegal tint and wheel rash. In my mind I was thinking a couple hundred and I'm good.

I now know the shifter is the problem now I don't believe the local dealer actually replaced the assembly because when I called in all of a sudden they had the part in when I was told they would tell me when it would be available and no longer on back order. It's doing the exact same thing the shifter is shaking back and forth from 4.8k to 6k at no other RPMS does it move. I did read around and other people have had this problem.

I guess on the bright side of this I'm thinking a weighted shift knob or short throw will resolve this and by pass anymore dealership trips for the rattle.

I guess at least this was all brought up the week I bought it so it is on file and I have paperwork if Nissan ever does a recall on clear or paint? Unlikely but Honda did for my Si 06-09s I believe. I've been reading on the forums about other people saying our cars have thin/soft clears on our cars if this is the case I would hope that at some point Nissan would own up to this.

I was sick, tired, had a long drive ahead of me and yes I specifically was getting a Nismo I just shouldn't have bought this Nismo

I guess I should have mentioned I'm that guy that takes his said civic for warranty paint (Which was great) and received it back curbed (metal grinded in about 1/2 inch deep around about 1/4th of the rim) extreme damage on driver side, and of course they have no idea how it happened -.- I'm extremely lucky.

Best car I ever had was my 350z so I figured why wouldn't I go back to a company/cars that I've always liked.

I'm not letting them get away with it or trying not to, I'm calling every day / other day, called Nissan corporate, the original dealership is helping some...
Not walking away from the get go is one thing - I can understand since you travelled that distance and the dealer had you by the proverbial balls for that. But taking it back to them to fix small items, your instinct should have told you otherwise.

But hey, it would be so easy for me to sit here and just critiquie your decisions and so forth wouldnt it? But I wont, as I feel empathy towards you. I hope it works out.
