Well....It's not ridiculous....It's designed that way for a reason and it's all explained in your manual (but no one reads those anymore anyway)

When hit from the rear, you are pushed back into the seat which then pivots the headrests forward for better head and neck support. It's a safety device..Doh!

(Having been hit from the rear to the tune of $7K in damage and suffering no aches or pains after, I'd venture to say it works..)

Nissan could surely pad the seats better so that you still push back on the seat to pivot the headrest, but you won't feel each runner of the headrest inside the seat back.

I got a kick out of the line "in a pinch, the Z can hustle". WTF does that even mean? If the car is in trouble it can move, but otherwise it's just a slug? Stupid commentary and contradictory to the "smaller horses" beginning to his review.
