Default Hard to find a Nimso?

Hey guys i am looking at a touring/sports package Z. I can probably afford to go Nismo if i wanted to. But the cloth seats and no nav for a car at that price is kind of ridiculous. BUT every time i see a nismo i think how much better it looks from the exterior from the "normal" Z

I know its limited production car. I would want a NEW White nismo. How long have some of you waited for your Nismo ?Zero chance any local dealerships are going to have one in stock for me at least.

thanks for some insight.

When I was looking for one last year, I couldn't find any in PW in my price range in the area. I ended up finding one in Tennessee and had it shipped to San Antonio where I ended up buying it at.

Get a Nismo. It does look so much better. Just use your phone for Nav/infotainment and the red stitching makes the seat look better than the regular Z cloth seats

OP, assuming you are actually in Michigan you might have a hard time finding any Nismo let alone a particular color locally considering it's muscle car country. When I was looking for one a couple years ago there was only one nearby, luckily I like the gun metallic paint so I snagged it up right away.

Ya my thoughts exactly. I am going to talk to my local dealership, see what they think. If they got a nice sports/touring ready to go i might have to pass on the nismo if i gotta drive far/ship.

Called all the dealers in the state to assess inventory of PW, struck the best deal with dealer in Naples (1.5 hours away), drove there the next day to sign & pick up car. Voila.

side note though... if you are used to american muscle be ready to be dissapointed with the power in the Z.

Don't know what part of the state you're in but Gerweck Nissan in Monroe,MI is where I got my Nismo at. You might want to give them a shout just to see if they can work something out for you. When I was there last year I think they had 2 370z's on the lot (neither were Nismo's though) which is 2 more than the my dealer here in Toledo has ever had when I've gone there.

I found a white one in WI and I was determined to get white. There was a website I used to get dealers to compete with each other. I paid 38500 for mine. I really wish I remember the website. But there should be at last a few in a hundred mile radius.

Also getting one in summer might be easier.

From a monetary perspective, get a cheap base model and put after market parts on it to match the nismo, then have fun with your left over cash.

One thing you probably can't buy is the nismo wing though. Lot's of people wish they could buy this

I am pretty sick of muslce, not sick of the power or sound. but sick of everyone having them, and i have my other issues with them also.

I want a sporty ride that stands out, and can be quick and take a turn. There are very few 370Zs around, and VERY VERY VERY few NISMOs.

on a side question, you think it would be crazy to put on snow tires and drive this car in the snow? I will be living in a city and don't NEED to drive everyday. but i worry about body kit being to low and hitting snow and ice.

i know a 370z would handle this better, but nismo worries me.

In my opinion it depends on what part of the state you're in. If you're over near Grand Rapids/lake effect snow area or northern MI I'd be concerned about plowing snow. Otherwise just be mindful of the conditions and leave it in the garage on those real bad days. There's plenty of guys on here that run snow tires and drive their Z year 'round (I'm not one of them though).

Ya i live in metro Detroit area for summer months. Then for fall/winter i am back in the city ( Grand rapids)

But honestly i am at the point where having a nimso might be worth taking a dam bus when needed. i really want the nimso, taking to dealership tomorrow in fact.
