Update: I had the silver-painted shifter bezel replaced and the buzzing/rattling noise is gone. This only happened during hard acceleration, usually above 4000 rpms.

Most RWD vehicles do this to an extent. It's because the shifter is bolted directly to the transmission.

The Z's do have a bit of chatter at idle. Sounds like what you're hearing. It's normal for many RWD sports cars.

One week later I get my car and they now claim all 370z's make this noise and that it's normal and that to drive the car at this rpm will damage the engine and transmission. I think that is completely wrong and before I drive 60 miles to find a dealership with a 370z with a manual transmission i want your opinion. It only occurs at 5000 rpm and above and if you move the stick I diminishes. It comes and goes but they won't fix it. My only option I see is going to another dealership and making them test drive both cars to prove that it is abnormal. Does your Nismo make this noise? Also with my paint peeling from the Nismo body kit anybody else have this issue besides the few on here that i know about. Thanks for your help.
Tell you what... I was having the same issue. The vibration was so bad it was also coming through the steering column. I then found that the dealer had left 2 sipping spacers(one on each front spring) even after they advised they removed and handed me 4 spacers. After the removal of the last two spacers, the ride is sweet and the vibration is gone.

I dont know how to embed videos but here is one of the noise at 5000 rpm. Sorry for the delay I finally got it up and now im losing my internet in 5 mins. I will follow up soon. Nissan finally agreed to fix my slave cylinder for my clutch because my clutch pedal keeps getting stuck and wont return up unless i put my foot underneath it

Well, 1 day prior to being hit by a deer, i was glazing my car and noticed a small peeling paint spot at the rear left fender joint where the rear spoiler/"diffuser" connects to the fender panel (directly above the wheel). Looks almost like it either wasn't coated thoroughly or it has been rubbing. Car is ~3 months old. I was actually going to swing by the dealership on the 5th (since their service dept would have been closed on the 4th). Mother nature had other plans for me though...

Plan on getting it addressed after it gets back from the body shop. I'd have the shop deal with it but it's on the opposite side of the car from the deer strike.

As for the motor, it doesn't sound abnormal/too rough that I've noticed and I owned another 370z prior to the NISMO car.

I understand that but compared to other 370z owners the noise from my car is. . . . LOUD

Ya I get the chatter at idle too and that is normal. You don't hear it when you push the clutch in. I also get the clunk noise when I'm shifting from 1st to 2nd. Review my post with the video and you'll hear what I'm talking about. Car is at the dealership for the 40th time..... Clutch slave went out and it's going to take four days to fix. Hopefully they find the solution to my noise as they take it apart.

How did you get them to replace that? I've assumed it might be coming from there but it doesn't happen all the time just most of the time. Was yours the same?

I also get the rattle or buzz noise right at 5000 rpm, so I just make sure never to stay there. It comes from the shifter and if I hold it down a bit it goes away, so it's in the bezel or shifter. It's annoying for sure but it's a narrow rpm range that it happens. There is some weird resonance thing happening.

When your slave went out did it feel like you had no clutch pressure in the pedal?
