How much attention does your Nismo get?

I had some fun with a guy in a dropped, heavily modded F150 on my way up to Carlisle earlier. Supercharger etc - seeing him peel out in 4th gear

I had some fun with a guy in a dropped, heavily modded F150 on my way up to Carlisle earlier. Supercharger etc - seeing him peel out in 4th gear made me smile. Anyway, he was doing much of what you're describing above but without being a **** about it. We'd hit an empty stretch of road and open it up, then back off and do it again.

Eventually, we got up near Camp David (Obama was there that weekend) and I kept flashing him the 5-0 hand signal over and over and he just gave me a thumbs up and took off like a bat out of hell.

Sure enough, 10 minutes later I passed him pulled over in a speed trap in the median.

Also it helps that most of the police in my town belong to my gym. I've gotten a finger wag or two blowing through speedtraps around town and a few "oh look it's speed racer" comments at the gym but have not been pulled over*

*knock on wood

^ Hmm, I don't understand why people feel they need to modify a vehicle thats designed for work, rough terrain, towing.. ect,.. and drive it like a sports/muscle car. To each their own I suppose.

I got this every now and then when I was in the 350Z. My best assessment comes down to guys with misguided "buy 'Merican, I hate dem dere rice burnin jap mobiles... Remember Pearl Harbor" douchebags that usually have some Penile length issues so they have to buy the biggest truck they can and jack it up to compensate. Cuz nothing takes away those insecurities like a big manly truck for all to see. These guys are usually mad haters when they see a vehicle of our type.

Seriously, this is why I have a CCW. You never know when one of them is going to take it further than just harassment while driving.

My apologies to all those with trucks here and aren't like this. I love me a nice truck and would have one any day of the week. I just never felt the need to compensate.

That happens to me all the time. Hate having trucks up my @ss, only way to shake them is to cruise at around 100. They wont be able to maintain that speed for long because they will need to have their foot on the floor. Just the other day i had a 90's suburban up my @ss and then blew past me, weaving in and out of traffic on I-95.

Thats exactly whats going though my mind when they are on my @ss. But i wonder if they are actually in a friendly mindset and just exited to see the car? We should post on the truck forums and ask what in the hell they are thinking? Whats the website again douchebagrepressedhomosexuality4x4.com/forums

No, I don't believe they have that mentality. I really do think they want to race or have something to prove. I've had several of these types of trucks that will drive next to me and then take off full throttle. I remember when I had my 350z I had this Toyota Tundra that kept trying to get me to run.

The Japanese site is sukoshipenis.com (South Park reference), and its American site littlemanbigtruck.org.

You can always tell who the haters are. I respect all vehicles and have no particular hate for any particular model, just the drivers that tend to buy them. Some models do have tendency to draw a certain "type" to them, SRT-4 douchenozzles come to mind to anyone? These guys have a tendency to have a Calvin pissing on a ford/chevy decal somewhere on the back window. That's usually a dead give away.

A true car enthusiast, respects any nice ride.

Dude, when theyre three feet off your bumper, I don't think theyre looking to run. They're trying to intimidate you with their projection of manliness. When they weave dangerously through traffic, thats your sign right there.

I would never ever race or speed on the highway but I've had a few hilarious ones.

A camry wanted race me on the expressway in Chicago.
Same with a honda civic.

And this hot blonde in a jeep gave me a thumbs up.

I did see a Ferrari F50 and I wanted to go after him badly but he was pushing 140 on the highway.

Re: Trucks

Last week on my way home this clean older 2 door ford truck came behind me and after I put my foot down a little he got excited and came to my left at the red light a few blocks ahead...He was like staring at me but I didn't mind him and thought he was just checking out the Z...I took off from the light a little hard and he was next to me by the time I red-lined into 2nd, he flew by! That thing was so flipin loud that my ear was ringing for the whole ride home, he was pushing a whole lot i'm sure. I felt like I was parked when he passed by. I gave him a thumbs up at the next light he didn't even give me a reaction lol ..that thing had a plastic rear window and a full on roll cage! Exhaust tips were pointing out the sides. Pretty bada$$.

Talked to a guy the other day at the car wash who had a PW Nismo 350z. Pretty clean Z minus some of the rock chips on the front (had over 50k miles). He was checking out my Nismo and said that he was planning on buying one as well. The only thing he disliked about the Nismo 370z was it didn't have the two tone paint scheme like on the 350z Nismo. I would have to agree on that. Sorry, should have gotten a picture of both Z's together
