Open the hood then drop it from a foot high. Don't press down with your hand to close it.

There are two hood latches; one on the right and one on the left. The first time I closed the hood only one latch caught while the other didn't. This caused my hood to sit up higher on one side. Simply opened the hood and as already mentioned dropped it from a little higher up and it closed flush. Basically if you don't drop it from high enough there isn't enough pressure to secure both latches.

my hood is not flush as well. no its not the latches, nor is it due to the bump stops for the hood. ive taken it to nissan and had them adjust them, but the left side has always been maybe half a centimeter higher than the right

my OCD would not allow me to live with that lol. I can't stand the few mm's difference where the fenders meet the bumpers, front and rear... ugh, so much for factory fitment haha

They are only noticeable at certain angles though.

yes...in various lighting the slightly raised left part of the hood creates a shadow, which makes the raised hood very apparent. otherwise, you can hardly tell its there so ive learned to live with it. in some lighting conditions ive been asked if my hood was completely shut, while in others it goes unseen.
