Does anyone know how many Nismo Z's were made for 2009? My number is 389.

Check the NISMO Registry Thread. I believe the highest number listed so far is 519. I have been away for a bit, so I haven't been actively searching for the correct answer (although I would like to know also). Hope this hleps you.

Question Reading serial number

Good info but I have a question. I have a 2009 370Z Nismo and my serial plate says Z34 09 0523. I thought I had number 523 but if there are only 519 I must not understand how to read it. Could someone enlighten me please? Thanks!

I believe the correct answer is 509, for US production on 2009s. Why the strange number? I have no idea...this has been covered in a few other threads...

Was quoting from another post on another thread:
Mick...straight from a contact with Nissan in TN:

"As for production, we produced 509 model year 2009 and don’t have a final on 2010’s yet. We’ll produce those for another 6 months or so. And the 1500 unit volume you mention was never part of the plan for NISMO 370Z. There was lots of chatter about 1500 NISMO 350Z’s being produced but that wasn’t accurate either."

Originally, I had heard the target for Nissan was 1500 per '09 and 10 years however it seems I received bad info.

Don't understand why NISSAN repeatedly ignores requests for final numbers on the '09...I know I have tried several times to contact them on the issue. Maybe I'll try Nissan Japan and use reverso.net...

that is weird because mine is 521 for 2009 so i dont know where 509 is coming from then again i bought it in 2010 because they wanted to get it off the lot for 2010 models.

i think there has got to be more than a thousand of them because there are 4 digits in the serial numbers. if nissan had intended to make less than a thousand, they would have made the serial numbers 3 digits.
