Yep, one good working condition will be more $20k. You can get junk for less.

The biggest reason why I made this post was V1 specifically because they were numbered cars. Obviously they have very little difference compared to sport models blah blah blah but I feel like I'm seeing all V1 Nismos being taken off the market. I just moved to the UK from the US and not sure if it makes any difference but im seeing like negative V1 Nismos here and little in the US (marketwise). Honestly I'm curious if jdm value might increase LONG TERM, but I've been seeing an increase short term. I'm not saying it will happen, just stirring up some conversation regarding it.

You can also buy a gt3 kit for a porsche, still a carrera. You can put a gtr body kit on a r34, still a skyline.
Your point? You can fake your way visually, still fake.

We get this all the time on the Power Wagon forum. Guys put the Power Wagon emblems on their diesels. Power Wagon only comes with a Hemi, front and rear lockers, sway bar disconnect, a 12,000 lb winch, plus full skid plates. It's a $7,000 option over a standard 2500 Ram. The reason you can't get a diesel with the Power Wagon is that the winch sits in the same location as the intercooler.

Ummm no. The Nismo is more than just the body kit. The differences include Nismo shocks and springs, extra body braces, bigger sway bars, chassis dampeners, true dual exhaust, Nismo exclusive seats and wheels, interior accents, engine tuning, differential gearing, etc.

Soooo......a Nismo is a Nismo.

And......fake is fake.

Sure, for the people heavily modding their cars, having a Nismo makes no difference. But for most people that will keep it stock, the Nismo offers quite a few upgrades and some exclusivity.

I don't necessarily disagree but those upgrades are not significant if you are serious about performance so in all likelihood those things will be upgraded. The Nismo bracing is a plus!

I am not that guy that cares about this kind of thing. I make all my vehicles my own. Never cared about authenticity even though I do admire those cars when I see them. Just not my gig.

none of that crap matters

if you're bumming around the street, you'll never feel it

if you're on the track, you're throwing all of that stuff in the garbage

so really . . . in practice . . . other than the body kit . . . there's no difference

no shame is saying you want the nismo for the aero. just be honest with yourself
