What size oil cooler will fit on the Nismo?

It's really a non-issue. Yes, you might end up with a quart or less left in the system after a change, but you've then changed out 5 quarts worth, roughly

It's really a non-issue. Yes, you might end up with a quart or less left in the system after a change, but you've then changed out 5 quarts worth, roughly 83%.

If you want to drain it all, just remove the two fittings from the sandwich plate and flush the cooler using compressed air. I plan on doing this every 3 changes or so, which should be about once a year.

Even with the fittings at the bottom you will still end up with oil left in the system, just not as much.

I am with Dustin@Z1 - the 34 row cooler is easy to install (2 hours) and a must if you track the car at all. I am in Austin and have gone to 3 driving events now and it is a must. The dam thing lowered my temps 50+ degrees (from 255 to 190) and that is in the Texas heat. For oil coolers bigger is really better.

I just put a 25-row on the Nismo the other week. No modifications to the front damper (or flipping it) whatsoever.

Where did you locate the cooler? What kind of bracketing did you use? Do the cooler and damper touch?

Vipor,
If you choose to build your own kit. We can supply the parts individually if you prefer. We stock 19, 25 and 34 row coolers, brackets, sandwich plates etc. Give me a shout what exact build parts you are looking for and I can get you a quote.

Dustin

Thanks Dustin. Already got mine taken care of a good while ago though, even did a DIY.

Put it in a 2Litre bottle or something. Haven't done it myself yet but I'm sure there's a way that's not too difficult. I'll update my DIY when the time comes.
