I'm not so sure that is true as I almost purchased #409 '09 before the one I got. Tri-City Nissan in Tallmadge, OH had #409 and someone paid cash for it in the 1.5 hour drive down there.

Yep. it appears that the nismo is a limited production car but it is not that limited (not 296)

Mick...straight from a contact with Nissan in TN:

"As for production, we produced 509 model year 2009 and don’t have a final on 2010’s yet. We’ll produce those for another 6 months or so. And the 1500 unit volume you mention was never part of the plan for NISMO 370Z. There was lots of chatter about 1500 NISMO 350Z’s being produced but that wasn’t accurate either."

Originally, I had heard the target for Nissan was 1500 per '09 and 10 years however it seems I received bad info.

Yes I believe that Victoria Nissan has a 2009 Nismo with the build # 296 and if you look at the plaque it says Z34 09 296 meaning body type year of build and build # which is 296
