Hi everyone! I'm new around here -- nice board... You guys are awesome!

I'm just shopping for now... I've had sports cars all my life starting with a Porsche 944 Turbo back when I was 19 that I picked up for $7,000... Then Toyota Supra Twin turbo, WRX STI, etc... Then about 3 years ago my personal life was getting a bit rough and I decided to a Prius... Very reliable and practical car but I just hate it. Now my personal life is very smooth and wife is urging me to get a car that I really like... So, at this point I'm looking at the 370Z and the Corvette. I'm definitely leaning towards the 370Z manual with the sport package (the rev matching is AWESOME!) or the Nismo. What do you guys thing? Any suggestions on finding a good deal on a new one?

Thanks!
Alan

Welcome to the forum!

You should be able to buy a new Z for $1,000 or more below invoice. We have some supporting dealers in the CA area (like Fontana Nissan) that I'm sure could help you get the right car and a great deal.

370Z and the Corvette are two very different cars... they each have their own ups and downs.

Welcome to the site and good luck with your decision!

Hey Alan,
I recently picked up a 2011 Z with the Sport package. I was able to get the price low using American Express' auto purchasing program site (amexnetwork.zag.com). The with some haggling, my sales guy got me to $31K even, then gave me another $4K for trade in! All said and done for 27K before tax and tags. I was also looking at the Vette as well... I dont know, just seemed like a no brainer for me. Vette (IMHO)= typical mid life crisis car; the Z (IMHO) = classy refined sports coupe.. SO without going on a rant, that's all I have to say about that!

All are excellent choices. I would definitely test drive them all then decide which I like better. GL with the decision though.

Welcome
Good luck in your search. Both are great cars. I kinda agree w mrcoolfaceguy as to his opinion of the vette, though it undoubtably rips! I like the relative unique/rareness of my 370 If you do go w the Z and plan to mod I would go w the sport over the Nismo. Not to offend ANY Nismo owners, its beautiful and I kinda wish I had one. But , the $ saved gettin the sport is better spent on mods you personally want over what the Nismo offers. Anyway you go you will end up in a superb automobile!
