Default Top Issues

Sue ~

Very early on (shortly after taking delivery of my Z Roadster in June '10), the top developed a big buldge on the driver's side about 4" above the window and 8" back from the windscreen. Dealer didn't have a clue, said that there's no access to that area of the top, and suggested that they would contact Nissan but would likely have to replace the top (I determined later that evening that there IS access, and resolved myself by repositioning a nylon frame rail guard).

Then weeks later, my top developed a crease/indentation/wear mark on the driver's side exactly as reported by Z-U-Later. Check the "TOP Tearing Issue" thread for details of this and other reported roadster top problems.
