Ahmed - the longer you wait, the less chance that you will get one cent back. Get a lawyer. Now! Every day you wait, or do not file a Police Report in the USA, decreases the chance you will get anything back. Good luck!

So, if you send $30k+ to someone overseas, with no legal contracts, there is a chance you may be scammed?!

i found a lawyer in my country, he have partners in the US!

we will raise a claim.

But the weird thing, the guy told me that he sent for me 7500 USD to my bank account and he need time to send the rest!! i will check my bank account soon!

and he still dont know that i know that the car was not stolen!

i have two choices!
1- wait until he send me the full money and i act like i dont now that he's lying!
2-i go to the lawyer and let him deal with it!!

i really dont know why he's doing this!

I know this story is sounding more like a scam than anything else.

The law enforcement agency I work for has a website that shows you the calls/crimes on thier web site. The CAD (computer assisted dispatch) program updates it live. Unfortunately the Snellville Dept. must be small and I didn't see any such program on thier site. However I did see this on thier WEBSITE:

Reports
Copies of Incident Reports and Accident Reports may be obtained in-person (or by mail),
Monday through Friday
7:00am to 5:00pm
$5.00 per Incident Report
$5.00 per Accident Report ($15.00 for private property accident reports)
(CASH ONLY)

Maybe you can see if the crime was reported, and if so get a copy of the police report. Also you should be able to call the police department and give them that VIN and ask them if it has been entered as stolen. I know our department will tell you if it's stolen or not. They may not give you personal info about the registered owner and stuff like that but at least you'll know if he's BSing you based on that. Also, if English is not your first language most police call takers have access to language translation services. They need it for 911 calls.

Hope that helps.

QUESTION!

When an individual want to show his car in a dealer (to sell the car) in the states, the car will be registered by the dealer name or the individual name?

sounds like this dude wanted the car and since he couldnt get a loan to buy a car similar he told you its been stolen so he can pay you for it without involving a bank. Who would do that? who would pay someone 30+ K if they wernt leagally forced!? Because even though its not there fault it was stolen, they feel bad so they will just give you 30k!? It sounds like hes taking advantage that your in another country and he realizes you probably dont have the details to do much and by saying you will eventually get your money back you wont involve the law. HES PLAYING YOU!!!!!!

hii! well, i know he's playing me!

i think he needed the money, thats why he sold the car.

anyways he sent me 7500 USD last weeks

remaining amount is 24500! he told me to wait, so he can arrange for payment. coz now he dont have any cash!

well, in the mean while i am trying to collect evidence on him! encase he refused to pay. and i went to a lawyer! a decent lawyer will charge me around 9000 USD!!

so, i will try first to collect as much cash as i can! from the guy by my self.

:S the only thing that making me sad, that i am really need a car. and i cant buy one!

Hey Bro this is off topic but looking at the pics in your profile I recognize the building in the back round. How far are you from AL Faris 2 or AL Jazer(not sure if I spelled that right.) Just trying to make a mental picture of some of the building in your back round is all. Like I said I was stationed out there for like 7 months and i loved it. Very fun place and I will never ride go-carts again here in the states lol. Sorry to go off topic just was wondering and I got all excited since I had such a good time in your country.

Just read the story man that sucks. Everyone has been scammed atleast once in their life. That is a ton of cash to loose, Karma will get this guy in the end.

I pray for you that you eventually get your cash back, it could possibly be that he used your cash to finance a few other car deals. He used your cash to make himself more cash, the fact he sent you anything and didn't tell you to get lost probably means you will get 75% of your cash back.

IMO if you ever wanted to do that deal again you could find someone honest on this site that would do the deal for you, and not scam you.
