The spring spacers are used while transporting the Nismo Zs. If the dealer hasn't dealt with Nismos then they more than likely won't know.
To do the headlights you have to take them completely apart. Caravanshaka did a good write-up and actually helped me with mine. Thankfully he lives [somewhat] close to me. DIY: Headlight LED's and blackout
