Help! Need advise! Terrible car buying experience

When you talk to the GM. Remind him that a salesman from his dealership made a deal and you excepted those terms. If he dosn't want to honor the deal just take your money and leave. He might make the deal just to sell the car.

If the GM did make the deal just to sell the car, wouldn't it have been easier to just have let the deal go through the first time? Makes me wonder if any GM even disagreed or whether the sales guy thought he might be able to bait and switch at the last minute for more money.
