I'm in Los Angeles area and driving around lately on the freeway getting to 220 on the gauge and sometimes on spirited driving goes up to 240. I believe reading around that the 2012 and up have an oil cooler from Nissan so that might be the first thing you should do.

This would all depend on how your driving the car keep in mind cooler temps are always better but is it a necessity?

That's true. I just dont like that gauge going past 220. If I drive like a grandma it stays maybe 210/200. But this car just makes me wanna go fast for some reason...

Edit: Only reason I suggested an oil cooler was because he has 2010 and those don't have the oil cooler from Nissan right?

Correct 2012 and up have them. I have an 09' and ive only ever had mine go up to 230 degrees a couple times during hard driving never above that though.
