Birthday Z
I figured it was time I posted an intro. I bought my brand new 2009 MB Z last month for my birthday. I was having a hard time choosing between the Z and a vette. The Z was more affordable and I think very cool. I'll post a picture, but I know everyone has seen this car in a number of other posts. This car is a Touring Z with the sport package and automatic trans. I almost purchase a Touring model with the 6 spd MT. I really didn't like the clutch at all (too hard to shift smooth) I almost ruled out the Z all together after the test drive. I drove a Z with Touring/Sport pkg AT a month later and the rest is history!
I love this car! I also love this forum! I started reading the night I brought the car home and I've been here everyday since. Learned about some great products and puchased them (Stillen front license mount and the custom fit sun shade). I've got many more ideas for future projects thanks to everyone here. Some of the things I don't like about this car: Quality of the materials used in the interior (scatch easily), Scaping the front facia even though I'm very careful, and the paint seems to chip easy. Same issues I've seen with several other members. Overall, I'm really happy with this car and look forward to spending a lot of time on this forum! |

The MB was my favorite color from the first time I saw it in the North Texas sun of Wichita Falls! I'm definately OCD when it comes to chips and scratches it drives me crazy. |

Congrats! I bought my Z about a week after my birthday, in fact fell in love with it on my birthday. Its nice giving yourself a present isn't it? Funny thing, the day my Z rolled of the line, is the day after my birthday. 10/29/08 for the Z and 10/28 for me.
