Not only was the Brienne vs The Hound fight an amazing, brutal, satisfying sequence... it set up how Ayria left The Hound and that cold daggers look she gave as she got up and left with his gold. Ayria is such an amazing character in this show/story. Ironic that she, the youngest, was truly the first of the Stark children, arguably since season/book 2 really, that "gets it" when it comes to the Game. She understands in order to survive, she must be cold, calculating and brutal. That and practice her water dancing :P I can't wait to see what Bravos has in store for her.

(I have not read the books)

You'd also like her in the books. She's different, but equally as likable in the same way as the books. Her "kills" have come in different orders, which was initially annoying. But they made up for it by having the Hound stick around much longer than in the books. His perspective is weighty.

I was so excited to hear Arya finally say the words "Valor Morghulis".... Having read the books, I am very much looking forward to Bravos...

The Children definitely is one of the best episodes and the best finale so far. I really like the adaptation so far with 3 huge exceptions:

Can't wait to see what the show does with A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons. The storytelling was good for each, but the seperation of the story arcs were a huge mistake. I am sure the show will correct that.

she's not actually the youngest. rickon is younger. last we saw him, he and osha left with shaggydog (direwolf) to head toward last hearth (seat of house umber), after splitting up with bran and company.

Yeah I've heard some discussion about "L.S." here recently. Many are saying that that character may not be important in the long run and therefore the show may skip that storyline all together. Bearing in mind the show runners know how it is going to end, supposedly, so they can pick and choose from here on out what is more important.

All I can say is this show continues to impress in both scale and production. I don't think I've ever seen a show quite like it before.

From what I've read about as far as further plot lines in the story go, some characters are almost caught up, where as others still have lots of book time to cover. I know about the whole show catching up to the book fiasco, but realistically, it seems like that could happen next season.

This time we get Jojen(sp?). Hound:I'm glad the show gave him the story and involvement and "death" he should have gotten. Definitely a character Martin didn't anticipate getting fans. I like that it was Brienne. I do also like how the show handled this. We have these characters roaming around, so let's just get two in the same place and eliminate one. Almost like some Dragonball Z or Highlander type thing (probably a misplaced reference since I don't know the former show...). Cersei: I don't like Cersei's part in this one at all. She needs to remain completely unsympathetic until much later. Now, we're not really sure, and maybe admire her over-protection... Tyrion: Excellently done, but I am going to miss the whole, "Where do whores go?" running half-joke question that will be coming up from Tyrion. Such a little dramatic running motif that we won't get. Wildlings: Where the fck were the 100,000 wildlings in that army? Someone ran out of budget this season... Bran: I guess his slow struggle and near starvation and further diving into his Direwolf weren't going to be exciting enough for the show. So we cut all of it out, cut out Coldhands, and just moved him on forward to his cave. Meh...kind of a let down there. You couldn't really tell he was part of the tree! No Coldhands or Lady Stoneheart! Can't wait to see what the show does with A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons.
