I hope so too, and I am pretty sure they will. The show feels like a rewrite from Martin if he could do it all again. With book 4 being the weakest so far, next season will most certainly combine the end of book 3 with parts of 4. The season after will probably combine parts of 4 with 5, making it a smoother transition over all. At least I hope so.

They have done an excellent job so far, and I'm really looking forward to seeing how they progress. No one else could have pulled this off except HBO.

FINALLY finished Rains of Castamere. The feels, dudes, the feels.

Agree about FoC, weak *** book, don't give a sh*t about the Martells lol.

GoT crew is making lots of noises about michelle fairley leaving the show...which would be a real shame if they turn out to be true. that would mean no canonical lady stoneheart. understandably she's not a big part of the books, but she's important enough that i feel like any deviation from a reborn Catelyn would not have the same impact.

Damn, that sucks. I feel like this is really just the midpoint of her story. On the other hand, if there's any good time to swap out an actress, it's probably when the character dies. They can find someone "close enough" in undead makeup and whatever

The biggest potential problem is that GRRM blew his load with the Red Wedding and what I think will happen with the season 3 finale. I definitely find A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons good books, but I am wondering if the screenwriters can keep it up and make it a compelling TV series. It seems that he is building up to something big and awesome, but he is taking a lot of time to do it. Being a straight white male, I am looking forward to the Martell women, but the success of the show needs to go beyond that to keep the interest of other demographics.

Like you said, so far so good!

Nothing is as impactful as the Red Wedding. I guess you can say Martin did blow his load. But you have to remember, there is still Tyrion's part of the story still left. I am certain Jeoffrey's wedding will happen next season. And that is pretty big.

And while book 4 was just ok, book 5 is nearly as good as book 3, and more stuff happens. They will probably have to split up book 5 into two seasons as well. There is a lot HBO still has to do. There is a lot of content.

I always have to avoid this thread, because I don't see it until way after you guys!

Same here. I have a bad habit of clicking on threads that I subscribe to and start reading em without realizing I'm trying to avoid that particular thread. Its bit me in the butt once and I've been careful since.

Naw, it just comes on hours for you before it comes on for me.

I was honestly not very impressed with this last episode. It didn't feel very epic, nothing major or exciting happened. I was glad to see that they recognized the fact that dragonglass kills White Walkers, because it kinda seemed that Sam just ran away and dropped the dagger without realizing what happened.

I thought the red wedding would have been a much better epic cliffhanger ending to a season.
