20 Targaryen, 7 Lannister, -21 Stark, -6 Tully, 17 Tyrell

tyrell is a close second tho. i guess i am the anti-stark

saber 03-31-2013 08:37 PM

41 Tully, -11 Lannister, 32 Stark, 12 Targaryen and 11 Tyrell!

i guess i'm from Catelyn's side of the family?

frost 03-31-2013 08:41 PM

Listen, you can't choose your family.

Unless you're adopted. Then your preference may have something to do with it.

frost 03-31-2013 09:11 PM

I've decided I don't have a favorite family. I like the midget. If he started his own family, that would immediately be my favorite.

You've convinced me. I cannot choose my family, however an online quiz that took about 5 minutes can.

frost 03-31-2013 09:19 PM

<grizzly batman voice> Now we're two.

BlackZeda 03-31-2013 09:20 PM

I usually don't drink whiskey until I am drunk, but when I do I am watching Game of Thrones.

That was freakin' sweet!

The scene where Tywin tells Tyrion that he will never have Casterly Rock was particularly good...better than the book. I am glad they cut through all the crap with Barriston Selmy.

I am liking where they are going with the series...Fat old guy with the captain's hat better get his butt in gear and get the next book out!

Just wait a few episodes, you will like him even more!

frost 03-31-2013 09:25 PM

I still have 3.5 hours!!!

Rooster89 03-31-2013 10:36 PM

Just finished it. Quite good, but an unusually slow start to the season.

tywin and tyrion have such fantastic on screen chemistry together in that scene! The unsullied scene was also quite well done.

saber 03-31-2013 10:52 PM

u guys do realize that they're at a point in the books where it's slow as f*ck? :p

But television is a magical place where subtlety and nuance are replaced by cgi and explosions!

Dude looks like he could roll over and die tomorrow...I just hope he finishes the series before that happens.

jpritche 04-01-2013 04:24 PM

39 Targaryen, 23 Lannister, -21 Stark, 0 Tully and 11 Tyrell!

I love Tyrion. He is by far my favorite, followed by the Khaleesi.

Unsullied....-1 nipple

BlackZeda 04-07-2013 09:03 PM

Wow...the screenwriters are pretty amazing. They are abridging the novels very well and they are creating some great scenes.

I really appreciated Catrhyn's story about Jon Snow. That is some pretty strong stuff.

I've noticed Season 3 speeding right along. So far so good, but it would have been nice to see how Dany got her ship and I was hoping to see Vargo Hoat capture Brienne and Jaime.

+1 for putting Theon through some deserved agony

sorry, sorry!

The Daenerys and Harrenhal story archs are the most jacked up compared to the books. Since we haven't seen Vargo Hoat yet, I don't think he will be in the series. My guess is that Dany took Xaro Xhoan Daxos's ships (along with everything else) at the end of last season instead of Illyrio sending his to take her back to Pentos.

Roose Bolton has definitely been a subtle character being with Rob Stark the whole time until now. I am not sure where they are going with Brienne and Jaime being captured by his men. Also he has concealed the fact that he is "holding" Theon which is a fact that Rob would be interested in. Theon was hardly mentioned in A Storm of Swords let alone included in any of the scenes.

The differences are interesting though and creates anticipation for me even knowing what is generally going to happen by reading the books.

Rooster89 04-08-2013 03:36 PM

I, personally, am glad to see this much divergence from the books. It almost makes it a separate story.

agreed, it kinda sucks when you know what is going to happen already. nice to know there may be some surprises here and there.
