My wife just bought me the DVD for season 1. I spent this weekend watching the whole thing for the first time. My only complaint is that it was only 10 episodes. I need more and season 2 doesn't come out until Feb on dvd.

HBO on Demand :)

Lemers 01-28-2013 06:14 PM

Doesn't HBO on Demand require a subscription to HBO?

Man i cant wait for the dragons to get bigger. I have watched season 1 and 2 3 times over. I still love it !

Lemers 01-28-2013 07:54 PM

I let my 13 son watch the 1st episodes. Needless to say I didn't know about all the sex scenes. I just thought it was rated MATV based on blood and violence. He didn't get to watch anymore

SgtGoldy 01-29-2013 01:12 AM

^Dude sooo much sex/nudity haha. Why do you think we watch it? The story line?! HAHAHAHAHA!!! Look at this loser! Watching for the story line!!! Everyone laugh at him!!!!

Too bad they don't portray Dany wearing traditional Qartheen dress as described in the book :(

Sprained my ankle on Sunday and had a few days of nothing but laying in bed and managed to finish up book 3 finally. All I can say is wow, season 3 TV series has the potential to be seriously epic (I hate that word, its way over used but I can't think of a better place to use it than here). Easily one of the best books I've ever read. Should be interesting how the TV series plays things out because from what I understand book 4's timeline takes place at the same time as book 3. Is my understanding accurate?

IMHO book 3 has been the best of the series so far. Not that the others are a let down, but because 3 was so epic as you said.

Book 4 is concurrent and unfortunately also the weakest. From what I understand, Season 3 will be broken up into two seasons. They may incorporate threads from book 4 into season 3. The writers probably will because much of it is setup for book 5 and it will help to move the story along.

Thanks, good to know. I'm trying to stay ahead of the TV series in my readings, I'll have to make sure I read all of book 4 before watching any of season 3. I have to admit I was pretty disappointed when book 4's first couple of chapters started off with new characters that I honestly couldn't give two shiits about. Guess I'll have to stick it out to see why I care...

That is exactly the problem with it. Especially with how world shattering 3 ends up being. A lot of fans complained about it, and when you read book 5, you'll see Martin starts pulling it all back together.

Just one more reason to watch Game...

KaienZ34 03-12-2013 08:04 AM

I just wish HBO would have used Game as their over winter show instead of spring. That way saying "Winter is coming" would make more sense, but i'm just picking for the sake of picking.

Huck 03-12-2013 08:05 AM

I am so freaking excited for this. I discovered this show late and powered through both seasons in about a week. Then I went for the next season and found out that I would have to wait a year :( :ugh:
