This premier should have been the finale for season 6. It took us 15 minutes just to get past everything we had already seen last season. They even recycled some of the exact same scenes.

That being said, once bats finally started hitting brains I was back on the train. Watching Abraham go, I was a little disappointed he was the one they'd chosen, but I told myself it was a logical choice. He'd gotten far to much character development/screen time last season for the shows writers not to off him.

Then as my mind started racing about how Glenn being alive would change the story from the comics, Daryl go ahead a sucker punches Negan, and we all know what happened after that. I'm disappointed the Saviors took Daryl with them. It would have been interesting to see Maggie confront him for essentially getting Glen killed.

Complaints aside, I thought it was a decent start to the season and as long as we don't get stuck with a bunch of episode full of people sitting around being mopey for an hour it should be a fun season to watch.
