Every ten minutes was another damn commercial.

The scene of the guys getting hit in the head and throats cut was gruesome. It was just like a slaughter house, at the end of the show where they showed the before scene in the boxcar…. was that Negron? Carol has gone from being an abused woman to a real badass…what a change.

That was my thought too. I feel like it had to be or they wouldn't have kept him in the shadows during the entire scene.

Not that it matters but I thought he tucked right grabbing his shoulder with his left hand.

Terrible.

Made more terrible by the heavy handed "how people lose their humanity" moral (NOW, THEN, NOW, THEN, YAWN, BELCH, FART)

I recommend everyone start watching Z Nation on Syfy. DJ Qualls is a hoot and the show better balances storyline, drama, and some offbeat laughs too.

Still love the comic, but the show has just about lost me.

The whole bat-to-skull-slaughter scene was silly -- it was PAINFULLY obvious they were going to stop before any main characters, making it pointless to have it set up that way. Also, there is no way that scrawny, unimposing and young wuss would be the leader in that scenario. I don't care if he can shoot laser beams out of his eyes or is the only one who is literate or both. Too much suspension of disbelief.

Do you mean Negan?

Yeah... I was wondering that too.

Well, ****, if they can segueway that mess into the Negan/Saviors storyline without too much time lost to nonsense, I'm willing to come back onboard

^ I seen the z nation. It's ok I don't think it's as good as the walking dead but hell there isn't much on worth watching. The strain was pretty good.

I am intrigued by the Strain -- I'll have to check it out.

I had super low expectations for Z Nation, but I've been pleasantly surprised. It's a lot more tongue-in-cheek than WD, but I like it a lot.

They certainly had no problems with a zombie baby and also having to waste it -- that's cojones

I feel like the WD is starting to stray into melodrama territory -- but, if the Terminus thing turns out to be a lead into the Negan/Saviors story, I'm in.

In the comic they ran into some cannibals too (a very short story arc, and not that great), but it was really just a small group, not a big organized cult-like following. Still, it could be a good intro to the Negan arc.

The one guy from z nation I really like is the guy they call doc, think he's funny as sh!t. When it comes to wd I have never read the comic so I don't unless I come here if and when they stay from the comic.

DCNISMO 10-14-2014 07:18 AM

The WD comic is more brutal than the TV series.....there are still some things you cant do on TV.....cable included. I read some of the comics after first watching the TV show. The Strain is good too, seeing how the Ebola thing is growing.....well......

I strongly disagree. I thought it was awesome.

As for the slaughter house scene, it's not that obvious if someone was about to die for a show like the walking dead...who have killed off plenty of main characters. As for the scrawny dude being the leader...well, that's not that unbelievable given the right circumstances. Look at Kim Jong-un for crying out loud.

I agree, look at Hitler....scrawny little dude that was a master at manipulating people....you don't to be a hulking brute to lead....
