Android does support Adhoc. Just doesnt show adhocs by default. If you want to make it work and return your BT model message me your android phone model and I can assist...some phones do actually lack the ability but most have the ability to use adhoc.

^^I tried a number of different supplicant and wifi.conf files, no go. I think the phone is just too new.

A friend's old evo 4g with cm 7.2 worked just fine though.
