tower74 02-01-2012 11:58 AM

yeah we probably do a lot of the same things, I manage a program that builds the power plants/substations. When i was in KC it was at the Lacygne Power Plant KCP&L doing an outage.

edub370 02-01-2012 02:30 PM

sweet. most of our work is with METC/ITC/detroit edison right now

erkthejerk73 02-01-2012 02:50 PM

Tower did you ever do any data logging?

tower74 02-01-2012 03:00 PM

Such as for what? Are you referring to speeds or signal strengths

Not yet....I'm currently working out of town, which is about 6-9 months a year,so I haven't had a chance to do it yet. Plus I have to hope the guys who did the install have my cable. Didn't know it was mine.

yeah that is yours, it is useless to the tuner you have the license to it on your ECU right now, that cable is $$$ too, i would call asap and ask her it back!

300-$400 from what STS told me...the guys are bad at returning phone calls. So most of the time I just drive to there shop and tell them what I need. Sucks but that's part of the reason I will never do business with them again, well that and I found out they over charged me on some of the parts.

fortunately we only live once! :stirthepot:

tower74 02-01-2012 05:15 PM

Yeah but the money keeps going out....on top of that it's 2012 so we've only got 11 months to go before the world ends.:bowrofl:
I think what I had going on now isn't going to happen. I don't think I'm willing to drop another $3500 on my car this year. 15k in less than a year is enough, even though I would love to...just can't do it anymore.

3500 for what?

tower74 02-01-2012 10:40 PM

If I can't pick up the cash in a timely matter then I can say but I was asked not to say anything about it. Sooooo I got to be quite about it until it falls completely through. I doubt I can get that kinda of cash in the next month. Already got to come up with $2650 by the end of the month. Gotta check to see if money company will spot me the cash or at least half of it.

erkthejerk73 02-02-2012 08:12 AM

thats no fun to throw it out there and then keep it a secret.

:iagree: just so happens a few days ago he had asked me not to say anything. Really its not like we're trying to reinvent the system but he asked me to not say anything so I've got to respect his wishes. For now.:stirthepot:

erkthejerk73 02-02-2012 08:40 AM

so should i wait a bit to see if this is something i would want?

tower74 02-02-2012 09:16 AM

The more I think about it the less of a "secret " it really is. I was going to send my car into them to STS and have them look at my system and redesign it if it needed it. Since I have the only know at7 370 I thought it would save them some time in development if I sent mine into them. With the transportation costs and etc it's gonna be almost to much to handle right now.

erkthejerk73 02-02-2012 09:19 AM

i have a 6mt so i shouldnt worry about it i see, whats with you all getting auto Z's? lol

tower74 02-02-2012 09:27 AM

They are actually faster than the manuals...it also has a "manual" side with paddle shifting

edub370 02-02-2012 10:05 AM

haha i love me some 6mt, but will agree that about every mag has the 7at quicker to 60mph

sboden 02-02-2012 11:20 AM

Yep. The only reason for manuals anymore is the feel of shifting the car. There is a reason the super cars are primarily autos now.

tower74 02-02-2012 01:56 PM

You can't out shift a computer

edub370 02-03-2012 09:42 AM

Just as an FYI for everyone. seems like this meet has grown a lot. so to ensure that we dont outgrow our locations or have issues with dyno times i think it may be better if we keep all invites from this point on to z's and subies. anyone invited up until this point is good to come tho, no matter what the make and mdoel.

i kno it may sound harsh, but we gotta make sure that z and subie guys have priority on dyno day festivites

also, since we are about a month out we should maybe get a dyno priority list for the z's. theres a few ways we could do it:

- first come first serve (meh)
- keep list formatted as is and just issue time slots accordingly(not a terrible idea)
- doesnt matter too much, we'll go when we go (my favorite)

i think we will be alternating z, subie, z subie, on the dyno.

possible z's to dyno

Edub370
tower74
sboden
DIGItonium
kraken

i personally dont car who goes first, second or last. i'm just gonna "fit in where i get in" on the dyno list. figure if we are all good with just going whenever then we can just let the subie guys know, and just kinda alternate back and forth.

however, if anyone is REALLY wanting to roll please speak up and i can get a priority list goin.

The way it looks right now tho, everyone that wants to dyno will get a chance to dyno

sboden 02-03-2012 11:58 AM

Option 3...It won't break my heart if I don't get dyno time.

This post sucks because I just got the Chevy Cruze club to show up.....uugghh.
