where did you get the wheels done at?

Mai-z 05-10-2013 05:49 PM

I bought them off of a forum member.

SmoothZ 05-10-2013 06:02 PM

:D Sorry, no springs to sell but I'll show up for the mod party and lend a hand.

dezion 05-12-2013 01:02 PM

Hey Homeryansta,

Did you slow pass me yesterday (Saturday) afternoon on Franklin in that crazy traffic jam? I was sitting to your right in a gun metal Z?? Looks like your ride??

Mai-z 05-13-2013 02:57 PM

It was me! I did see you. I was on my way to the convention center. My car was dirty as eff...

SmoothZ 05-13-2013 10:30 PM

Saw a silver 370 yesterday in Apple Valley. The driver had a small, toy dog in his lap. Anyone here?

Mai-z 05-14-2013 12:10 PM

I live in Apple Valley, haven't seen that one around. This means we need to meet up and cruise!

SmoothZ 05-14-2013 07:24 PM

WTH! You live in AV, too? I'm on Garden View near Westview Elementary. I see Z's drive by all the time. Alas, no one wants to stop and say hello.

cgust 05-14-2013 07:24 PM

Was starting to feel some vibration from the rear/passenger wheel yesterday so I took it into the EP Tires Plus where I bought them (close to work). Turns are there are two significant bulges on the inner sidewall. Of course the tire sizes are not easily accessible so they are being shipped in from Chicago and won't make it here until next Monday. Anyway, just thought I'd vent a little and see if you guys have had this happen to your tires before?

Mai-z 05-14-2013 08:42 PM

I live on Pilot Knob and 170th.

That sucks man. Is it your DD? Being lowered without using toe bolts, you think you could have hit a bump and the tire hit some suspension component? (not an expert here) What size tire are you running out back?

cgust 05-14-2013 08:51 PM

It is my DD but my gf is currently in India so I'm going to use her car until Monday. A few weeks ago when we got the cold snap this particular tire lost all pressure. It sat flat for a few hours until I got a small air compressor that plugs into the car. This must have had something to do with it. Its strange though that it would takes weeks to develop. I'm running 285/30/20s.

SmoothZ 05-20-2013 05:07 PM

Back from Zdayz! Those cars were sick! I got the mod bug again!

Seeing that exhaust competition thread really makes me want an exhaust bad! Has anyone seen this or ever gone to past events? I just stumbled upon it on Facebook (actually I follow Jennifer Dao on FB because she is gorgeous and she happens to do a lot of car shows) and wasn't sure if this is big or not. Thoughts?

Mai-z 05-21-2013 08:44 PM

Dude I'm down to go. I mean why not?

SmoothZ 05-22-2013 07:04 PM

LOL there was an exhaust comp at Zdayz for best and worst sounding one. I really wish I could have been part of that. I'm looking into a new system now. The trip made me realize the drone is too much for me.

SmoothZ 05-22-2013 07:08 PM

BTW, my Z club is getting together this Friday at 7pm for a meet and greet at the Sonic in Bloomington on American Blvd. Be there or be square. I really would like to meet some of you guys and gals. I already know a few of you.

SmoothZ 05-22-2013 07:40 PM

:D

Happy Friday! I see sunlight!

:coffee: and eggwhites

Mai-z 05-24-2013 01:58 PM

Not such a great Friday for me. I went to take the Z to get a car wash last night to get her nice and shiny for the meet tonight. As I was was driving I noticed the clutch activating really close to the floor.

FFFFFFFF MMMMMMMM LLLLLLL !!!!!!:mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

This was the same feeling that I had in October before the clutch just totally hit the floor.

So this morning I was at the dealership trying to get things figured out. Last time it was low on hydraulic clutch fluid with no detectable leaks. The representative comes back and says the car is working just fine. Plenty of fluid and no leaks.

So they must have missed something because now I barely made it to work, my clutch pedal barely lifts off the floor and there is no way I'm going to be able to make it to the Z meet.

:mad::mad::mad::mad:

I wan't throats for this!

I realized how stupid it was to have one when I don't have a house yet. Selling to get a house then get the car later.

SmoothZ 05-25-2013 08:59 AM

Mai, that really sucks. So it's not the master or slave cylinders?

Mai-z 05-25-2013 05:58 PM

I'm sure it's one of those. It was just a lazy tech, that went on a joy ride in my car. He didn't test anything. Since the car was driving he assumed nothing was wrong. You'd have to drive the car on a regular basis to realize the engagement point of the clutch was dropping closer and closer to the floor.
