Ruh roh. Clutch?

Anyone up for FF6 this Saturday? Kind of like a mini Z car meet at the movies? I was thinking of the 12:20PM show at AMC Southdale.

homeryansta 05-30-2013 12:33 PM

last call for local folks before I post it forsale to the whole forum.

Clazzios seat covers black with red stitching in very good condition no signs of wear/tear. 200 picked up.

ScottmanZ 05-30-2013 06:09 PM

Anyone else going to cars and coffee Saturday morning?

ScottmanZ 05-31-2013 06:26 PM

I followed a silver 370Z today going south on Hwy 52 all the way from St. Paul past Coats. Anyone in here??

I literally work 5 mins from the Cars and Coffee. I was driving to work this morning at about 10am and saw so many nice cars. To bad I was in my '01 Honda Civic...

I keep seeing a gunmetal one on Co Rd 42 in the mornings. The car is always going west.

Also not me on 42 ......... I live much further Northwest. Nice to see so many Z's around the Twin Cities!

Mai-z 06-02-2013 04:47 PM

It was the slave cylinder. I should have it back on Monday. It's going to be filthy I bet. I'm sure they've had it sitting outside in all of this rain we've been having. I hate driving the z when it's dirty.

Btw anyone happen to know the owner of a matte grey GTR with a carbon fiber hood? I saw one rumbling down University this morning. It was sexy as hell and loud a phuk.

Mai-z 06-04-2013 09:35 PM

Another update. The mechanic broke a bolt on my flywheel. They had to overnight one, should be in and ready to go tomorrow.

SmoothZ 06-06-2013 07:17 AM

Ha! I suspected it was a cylinder.

I don't ever go to Uni unless it's for business.

That mechanic deserves a facepalm.

SmoothZ 06-07-2013 07:09 AM

Z meet at Sonic tonight. Supposed to be nice out today, so some of us are getting together at the Sonic in Bloomington on American Blvd near Penn Ave. See you guys by 7pm.

Mai-z 06-07-2013 12:53 PM

Got the car back. I'll be there. Btw who's is this? http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/08/6ahyrupe.jpg

SmoothZ 06-07-2013 09:45 PM

That's probably the same guy I see all the time on Co Rd 42 in the mornings.

BTW, great meet! I'm glad you were able to make it. Your car looks better in person, Dre (Dave hopes he spelled it right).

SmoothZ 06-09-2013 01:46 PM

this rain... :shakes head: :gtfo2:

My kids are getting cabin fever. Hell, I'm getting cabin fever!

At least my Z is clean and in the garage.

My 260Z is pretty much sold. Just waiting for the guy to come get it with cash in hand. Then I'm going to buy some Berk HFC's for the 350.

SmoothZ 06-09-2013 05:19 PM

So the new guy from Prior Lake just got his 370. Anyone we know?

Nice...what exhaust are you pairing with the 200 cell Berks?

SmoothZ 06-09-2013 05:51 PM

Don't know yet. Thinking of the Invidia line. I would like to keep the noise down. My trip to Zdayz made me realize that what I have is good for the track and only the track. :D With a helmet on, I can't hear it. lol

1cleanZ 06-09-2013 05:53 PM

yeah for sure! That's why I asked if you wore ear buds/plugs on the way to NC!

Invidia is a very quiet exhaust, and actually a very good combo with Berks. Berks can get quite raspy, but the invidia is a dampening exhaust which produces a very nice exotic sound. Mike has Berks paired with his invidia and it sounds great. I give it a

For my Nismo, I'll be going with full Fast Intentions again. Very excited for the setup on the Z with it being an all out shorter exhaust. Still deciding on resonator sizes, and if I want RTPs or RHFCs.

Been studying on different coils for the past few weeks now. I ran KW V3's on my G37.....but they're limited to how low they can go on the 370. Have explored other options such as Stance SS+.

SmoothZ 06-09-2013 05:53 PM

So we're in the market for a new vehicle to add to the garage...

It will be gracing my man-cave within a few months.

That's good to know. Thanks for the insight!

I've been seeing some private FS threads for the Gemini. It's tempting.

Doooooooooooooo Itttttttttt!!!! What other car are you looking to get??

SmoothZ 06-09-2013 06:11 PM

Gotta take care of the missus first, so it'll be her choice. She wants the new Grand Caravan. Our current one is 12 years old.

Then maybe another "toy" next year...

"van".... you lost me there... :)

...but no, understand about the Mrs....and of course the kids. Family comes first 4sure.

When were you thinking for the next meet? I didn't even know you guys got together last Friday @ Sonic, I would have tried to make it out!

Let me know if you want to meet up to hear mine. I'm running 18" Res with the ART's

Mai-z 06-09-2013 07:30 PM

Funny story, I just walked out to my car and my windows were down.... I was absoultely certain that I left them rolled up. It was the most bizarre feeling. My mind went from someone stole my keys and are messing with me, to wondering if it was possible to hack my car and make it roll the windows down.

I did my research and found out that you can roll down the windows with the key.

It was only our 2nd meet there, and we had been talking about it for a few days. Next time, come on out and bring friends! It will be 2 Friday's from now.

No problem. When Scott and I went to C&C last Saturday, an Audi came with us from Lakeville. I believe it was a performance model of some kind.

For sure man....I'm dropping my car off at Kline tomorrow morning to get the Recall taken care of on the steering lock mechanism.... Do you have any plans this weekend? I definitely want to hear how it sounds with ART pipes....if its not too loud, I may just go with Resonated TPs over the RHFCs. I just want to make sure it sounds perrrrrrty for shows/representing/advertising since I rep/sell their product line.

and yes, for the windows...if you hold the unlock button for like 5 seconds it will roll all your windows down until you let off the button.

June 21st is the next one? What time?

Mai-z 06-10-2013 01:23 PM

The car is already sold. But yes, I'm looking to either get a house or move to San Fran to chase after the IT gold rush :D.

SmoothZ 06-10-2013 09:29 PM

I think I grew an inch today from that yellow thing in the sky.

SF, eh? I used to live near there. Would love to go back and visit.

1cleanZ 06-11-2013 05:06 AM

Dave you lived in SF??? I definitely have some questions to bounce off you guys about Cali then when I see you next!!!

SmoothZ 06-11-2013 04:16 PM

I was about 7 when I first moved there, then we moved out to Santa Clara and Sunnyvale. Both my parents worked in Silicon Valley for defense contract companies.

I spent part of my adult life in SoCal. I lived in El Centro and then San Diego.

Hmm... good to know! May have to get some serious insight from you when I see you next. Looks like I'll be heading out there in 2 weeks for a full week for a "trial period".... :-\

SmoothZ 06-12-2013 07:21 AM

Yeah, we can talk. Moving is serious bidnezz!

No doubt man, I'm kind of freaking out. Its a HUGE decision. I'd love to get your insight on it. You obviously live here now, have your kids and wife.

Being 27...I think about the future, where I'd like to raise my future children, what lifestyle I'd like to live.

I like the midwest, and if I'm going to move to Cali...right now is definitely the time to do it rather then trying it later..... This is a very VERY tough decision....

ScottmanZ 06-12-2013 01:24 PM

My wife is from SoCal and my son is currently stationed in San Diego. It's a nice place to visit...not sure I'd want to live there though.

Scott I don't know if I've ever met your wife before? If she makes out to a BBQ or something, I'd love to get some insight from her about her experiences out there, and if she'd "ever wnat to move back" vs living here?

The more and more I think about it, I love the midwest. I love the seasons. As much as I hate snow....I love it. I really don't see myself being "high class" and being able to keep up with the cost of living out there?
