It's been a long time since I've seen so many modded cars cruising around. It was not like what I used to go to back east but it was still fun to check out some nice cars.


Not a big showing for 370z's. Just two of us again. There was two 350's and there must have been 20 STI's down there last night.

I'm finally back home from a small vacation up in Michigan for the weekend. Hopefully, I won't be leaving town again for the next moth or so.

Anyone ever have work done at worldwide in Bloomington? Looking for an exhaust install shop.

So, the last few months have been crazy busy for me. I have been concentrating on my house more then my car.

But this coming Wednesday I am planning on going to the test and tune at Lucas Oil Raceway. That's the old Indianapolis raceway park. Gonna make a few passes and see how she goes.

I believe it starts at 7. Hope to see some of you guys there.

I should be able to make it out there. My trip to Texas has been delayed until next week.

I've never been to one of the open runs. I won't run my car, but would like to see what yours can do.

last weekend my friend and I took his STI and my Z to a nice Touge and had a Best Motoring style battle lol I won against the stage 2 STI but my oil temp reached 265, while blasting heat inside lol

What do you mean by instant jail? I've heard that the cops are pretty cool as long as you aren't being reckless and as long as you keep it on the dragon.

I am planning on going out there in October.

As for the drag strip... Not happening tomorrow. I checked the schedule and it looks like the big boys are in town this week. Mac Tools US Nationals.

Have you seen a map of the dragon? Not a chance of hitting those speeds in a car. Maybe a bike. I haven't been there myself but my father took his camaro there and said he never got out of second gear.

I was at the dragon in the Z a couple of months ago and there's no way to get too fast through the dragon. It's nothing but constant turns. There are a few straight points toward the end. The highway leading up to the dragon is fun though. Definitely easy to be doing 100+ in those turns.

A good practice road is 135 south of Brown County towards Story, IN. Also highway 45 going towards Bloomington. Maybe we could gather a drive down there some weekend.

I'd be up for that. I do have Sunday September 18th off. Let's see if that works.

Sorry to make it all about me and my time off but it is very rare that I get a weekend, or even a weekend day off.

As of right now that should work for me, but my travel schedule is always changing at work.

last touge @ purdue my oil temp went up to 265, i changed it to Rotella T6 5w40, doesn't seem like its helping much either... :( i need an oil cooler

what is this touge in Lafayette you speak of? I am from Purdue and have no idea what you are referring to.

Not going to be able to make it next Sunday. Just found out today that I will be out of town...again. It's crazy how busy my work is right now.

It looks like I will be up at Cars and Coffee on Saturday. I didn't know if anyone else ever heads up there. This will be the first time taking the Z.

It's usually between 9-12, with people coming and going. I should be up there around 10.

Good turn out at Cars and Coffee this morning.

The Nissan & Infinity cars were well represented.

There were four 370's two of them TT'd. Two GT-R's a few G's and a 350.

There were also more Ferrari's then I'd seen in one place in a while. There were also some Lamborghini's, Lotus' and Ford GT's.

But quite possibly the coolest cars were a bunch of RX-7's with transplanted V8's one was TT'd and one was single turbo. The others were NA. They were rough but still cool none the less.

I definitely did not expect to see that many 370s yesterday. But, what's even better about yesterday is after seeing some modded cars, my wife has increased the mod budget for the winter.

I think after seeing that takeoff, I was talking more about TT and less about the exhaust. ;)

I can't make it this week. We are headed to some function at my wife's old college in Ft. Wayne early Saturday morning.

They're saying that it's going to be moving up to the church at 131st and Hazel Dell soon. I guess McAlister's was not happy with some people revving their engines (Vipers) last week.

I am thinking of hitting Lucas Oil Raceway dragstrip on next Wednesday for the last test and tune of the season.
If I can get my hands on some RE-11's before then that is.

Check out this new club. I just went to a dyno event with some of these guys. I put down 474WHP and 396 TQ. Good bunch and It seems to be gaining steam.

Got my car out for the first time in almost a month tonight. Long enough to wash it in the driveway and pull it back in the garage.

Did the Indy Z group ever pan out? I purchased a '12 Nismo in march, and would like to meet up with some other Z people. I'd like to talk in person with experienced mod(ifiers??). I have no idea what direction I want to go with mods, but would like to bounce some questions off of some of you in person. I know I could get most of my answers by reading the forum for a few hours, but I would rather hang out in person.Thanks!
