I can't imagine it being for anything but looks and detrimental to tires and suspension parts (not to mention handling), but am also interested to find out if there is some advantage that I'm not seeing. Not that I would do it to any of my vehicles, but, if it has some desirable effect on ride/handling/&c, I'd like to find out. Inquiring minds want to know!
