No sh*t. I could have told you that without you stealing my damn car for the day.

Good stuff Shahid. I think once you switch out the cover, yours will be pretty badass, just my 2 cents.

To add to what the other guy said, the defect in the headlights is BARELY noticable and the only reason I'm getting it fixed is because I show the car and I'm extremely anal retentive.

Unless you are directly on top of the vehicle and actively looking for headlight defects, you will not notice either of the "issues".

Sales@AAMComp 10-10-2012 10:10 AM

dm, should've never tried to redo your headlights lol

Yeah I'm wondering if I should use this opportunity to black out my boomerangs. Not sure if it would look better on my car or not. Also not sure if it's worth risking the other headlight.

Screw it, I'll just take the safe route and swap the lenses.

I felt like we got lucky the first time around, and I was really apprehensive if we woulda been lucky twice.

Uh if you're going to make changes, now would be the time to do it. You're going to have to crack them both anyway to swap lenses right?

Khoi, I need that connection that you have for car alarm installs. Thanks man, can you PM your contacts information?

No I decided to just not make any changes. Wasn't sure if I wanted to do it or not. As it is, I'd only have to crack open one headlight, swap the lenses, and then re-seal it. Should take much less time since I'd only have to do one headlight and I'm not doing any painting.

Hopefully. The soaking wet cardboard idea worked pretty well. Gonna use that next time instead of the aluminum foil.

eastwest2300 10-10-2012 10:28 AM

Yeah, you gotta take every precaution you can. Dont take any chances.

Hey Khoi! Haha super busy, I know – it's my own fault. Your old teg is the last alarm install I've done, so I haven't been doing it for awhile now. I may start doing it in the spring/summer if time permits but I'm quite busy with projects and out-of-state travel until then.

D this is his response after I posted on his fb :( busy man

Thanks brother, I got it, totally understandable..

dmhenderson 10-10-2012 11:02 AM

I still want to know how that guy knew I was at Criswell today. I didn't notice anyone else there when I dropped it off.

Meeting with Cliff and John tonight at their shop to finalize the estimate.

I hope you're not paying them to change your oil.. if you are, you're getting ripped off, I can show you how to change it yourself.

Hell no, I have free oil change for 8 times or 24K, of course, whichever comes first, but I already done 4 oil change since I purchase this veh. on July 7

eastwest2300 10-10-2012 11:18 AM

Oh ok, i was gonna say. thats cool then, well i would tell ya, i'd learn how to do it before your 8 run out.

dmhenderson 10-10-2012 11:20 AM

I had a meeting at 9 and was running behind so I was in and out of there in less than a minute or two

I was probably gone by the time you got there. Definitely no other Zs there when I pulled into Service.

Wao, that's a set of coilover there

eastwest2300 10-10-2012 11:40 AM

Thats their MSRP price, what they buy them for is completely different.

dmhenderson 10-10-2012 11:44 AM

Oh I guarantee they don't pay more $100 for both. Just laughing at the retail price.

Also glad I didn't listen to the haters and kept them. In tandem with the blacked out headlights the car looks mean as hell

Yup, that sounds about right. Its a total ripoff, they make a lot of their money off accessories and services.

Oh yeah?! What if i say they do it for 10 bucks?! Then what?! Huh smartypants?! Then what?!:bowrofl: found ya!! :hello:

WTF?! Still telling me i have no reps to give out...:(

dmhenderson 10-10-2012 07:27 PM

Yes this shop seems like they know their stuff. REALLY good price and they're throwing in halos and chrome blinker bulbs for super cheap. On top of that, they're going to do it all in about a day, clean up my sealant mess and moisture test the lights before reinstalling.

They're also going to break down the remaining parts for easy sale after they're done.

Nah, I'm good with oil change and I even installed two oil coolers myself, don't need them to do my oil change when it's ran out. The thing was I ask them how much to change my transmission and differential oil, they said about $200 bucks labor only, and I when to my friend's shop did all myself in less than 30 min.
edit.....I highly recommend to change your transmission fluid if you can. I can feel the gears so much better than it was.

BTW Daedalus customs is about 5 minutes outside of Germantown. If you want stuff done, their prices are super competitive.

dmhenderson 10-10-2012 09:00 PM

I'm going with the super thin halos.

Yes. Mmm.

When I had my oil change done at the dealership (before I knew how to do it myself) I brought my own oil and they only charged me like $20 for labor and the oil filter.
