That sounds like it would work. On my last headlight, I put it on a soaking wet piece of cardboard and had no problems. This way, at the contact points energy will be first used to evaporate the water before the temperature goes up too high.

Try your best not to use anything that is wet! Reason is once the oven heat up it will create lots of steam which will get your inner lens all wet and possibly bake in the water spots. I don't wipe the inner lens if I don't have to, the inside doesn't have a protectant layer like the outside and it'll scratch up very easily. So be careful!

I'm going to go with "use a professional service that modifies headlights" instead. At least that way, if it gets screwed up they get to buy the next pair lol.

Edit: Daedalus' prices are SUPER reasonable and if you're in the area, you don't even have to pay for shipping. Downtime is less than 1 day.

Im NOT gonna be using a professional, because I feel confident enough to do the job myself, although I'm gonna get ahold of Ryan, and ask him to assist me, we work well together.

I could *probably* do it myself but I don't feel like rolling the dice again. The housings just cost too damn much to take chances.

lower the oven temp, leave it in the oven longer

no risk of melting anything! and don't put the lens down!!!!!

I'm Chinese/Vietnamese. Parents came from Saigon, unfortunately they only taught us to speak Chinese though. I would not mind knowing another language especially own culture.
