That's not entirely true. Sure if they weigh less than the stockers it will definitely accelerate a little faster and brake better. It's less rotating mass for the engine to turn, therefore less resistance and more power to the ground. As far as handling, that's all dependent on your tires. Wider tires are always going to handle better regardless of what size your wheel diameter is. You have to be careful though because the sidewalls may not be as stiff on a tire for an 18" as it would for a 19" (more sidewall height). One of the major reasons for having a larger diameter wheel is to so you can fit bigger brakes. Which brings me to my next point, be careful with 18s because they may not clear the sport brakes. I have 18" RPF1 track wheels and they BARELY clear. It all depends on the design of the wheel though.

correct me if im wrong...

But i might be wrong

Not true at all. All depends on if the smaller wheels will clear your brakes.

Getting my FI resonated test pipes today :happydance: :bowrofl:

Also buying BKNGOs FI tips today cant wait to get it all installed!

After this I just have to focus on the body kit and I am currently thinking of the Stillen front bumper and not sure about rear yet (I want the 40th Quartz one that is currently for sale on the forums :yum:)

Hope you all are having a GREAT day!

Ngo I took a couple pics at springfest of wheels that I think may look good with your setup. It's the prism ones... Take a look tell me what you think.

Kazzan11236 06-09-2015 04:05 PM

Question... Can i put on the Res HFCats with the stock exhuast?

Or should i just keep em in the box for 14 weeks until the exhuast comes

wait and install it the same time. it is much easier that way and if you pay someone to do it... it will be cheaper.

I've read on the wheel fitment threads that the 18" Te37SL will fit. yeah, those tires are wider than my current setup... 265 fronts and 305 rears vs stock at 245 and 275... I am sure AD08 tires are better than my DWS

Voice59 06-09-2015 08:17 PM

All I'm saying is look into it. He doesn't have to buy it. But everyone goes black or chrome rims. It's out of the ordinary to see anything other than that. He's already standing out with the Zele..why not further it with some eccentric wheels. Doesn't have to be prism.

Voice59 06-09-2015 08:19 PM

Oh yeah, saw a 40th on/around Independence and Holland on the way to work today. 1 ish....

Pms370z 06-09-2015 08:20 PM

It's the offset that's going to determine if they clear your brakes though. Check your offset against the wheels they are talking about in those threads.

It took me days lol. I finally gave up and took it to a shop (which I never do) and they hacked it off with a sawzall. In hindsight I could have done the same but I was tired of dealing with it.

Sorry to hear that. Happen to me 2 months after I got my car. Only I couldn't find the nail. TPMS kept going off, I'd check, nothing. Finally a friend riding behind me saw it. It was close to the wall so only option was replacement. What I learned.

If u ordered from tirerack.com and got the hazard insurance, it a free repair or replacement.

If it's not on the sidewall, u could go with a plug. Surprisingly they still do plugs.

On the bright side, the tires are new so you only have to replace one and not 2.

Let us get a pic when able. Was it a blow out or a slow leak?
