Like onelownismo said earlier I plan on keeping the 370 for a while, I have no plans to sell it. Eventually I would like it to be my weekend car not my DD. That point is when I will track it a lot more. It's a really good base to work with if your willing to take the time and spend the money. I don't think it's too impressive from the factory though. There are better platforms out there if one wants out of the box performance. And Nissan really does ride a design until it's played out. The Z is in desperate need of a makeover. They can either water it down and make it cheaper or beef it up and charge a little more. I personally hope for the latter of the two but I'm not going to get my hopes up. I wouldn't be surprised if the current Z is as performance based as it gets. We'll see though.

I think what happened there is that Nissan stopped building the "base" model GT-R. I remember when the GT-R first came out there was 2 different models. The GT-R and GT-R "Premium". I can't remember the differences but I think it was about a $10k-15k difference in price (depending on options). If you build a 2014 GT-R on Nissan's website the only non-special version/edition is the "Premium". I guess the base model GT-R wasn't selling so they ditched it.

It would be like Nissan getting rid of the base model and non-sport package touring Zs.

Any way...if I had the money I would get a Track Edition GT-R.
Nissan/NISMO brought a preproduction Track Edition GT-R in Gun Metallic to this past ZDayZ.
I have driven a GT-R and IMO it is worth the price.

All well and good. But it has still become a little long in the tooth, much like the 370. Five years. That's it. Move on. And I still can't see how they can justify the price. It's almost like their lap times are the only things selling those cars and that's how they justify the price. I think this is the only point where we get to agree to disagree. I think it is a $65-70k car at best. But again, that's just my opinion.

Is this the Richmond, Williamsburg, or VB C&C??

Well then you may be confused about what you're looking at. You're talking about a car that puts SUPER cars to shame. A car that FORCED big name car companies to produce a car that can beat it. And they did..for 4-5 times the amount of a GTR.. Sure those super cars have plenty luxurious interiors...but I'm almost positive nobody buys a lambo for the interior. So...yeah, you might be confused. Not that I'm a fan of the GTR. I think it's ugly as hell. But as far as performance? It's worth the money you're paying hands down.

Barbara and I are in too! Just due to where everyone pretty much lives it might be easier to meet in Hampton depending on if everyone's going. Or at least closer to the HRBT. Whatever works for everyone.

I agree. It is definitely time for the R36 and Z35 to be released.

Yep, that is the whole point of the current GT-R. Supercar performance with out the supercar price. I'm not saying $100K is cheap but considering that it competes with cars like the Ferrari 458 Italia ($240K) and the Lexus LFA ($375K) performance wise, $100K is a relative bargain. I will admit that it isn't the best looking car out there but, I wouldn't call it ugly.

I'll say it again. Agree to disagree. I'm not confused. So before you ostracize me over an OPINION understand that I simply don't see anything big about it.

The car itself is not a marvel. It's the computer programming that makes the car. All you have to do is point the wheel. I'm not sure why any purist would even care for a Maxima with AWD and twin turbochargers. Seriously. You want lap times, get a GTR. You want real fun? Don't. The ONLY comments I've heard from people who've driven the GTR are "it's a blast to drive" or "it's so fast". Whoopie-do. Everything else from what I hear is boring. It takes all of the fun out of driving.

All I want is a small, two-seater, light, fast, AWD vehicle. I'm hoping someone is going to deliver.

Is there anything else you'd like to try to bash me for over this opinion? I mean, while we're calling each other out over a forum and all... :ugh2:

Ryguy 11-11-2013 09:20 PM

Are there any 2 seaters that are AWD?? If so I might consider getting one and putting an LS7 in that b***h!

Hoping the Supra will be!!!! (well, it'll be AWD for sure. But I hope it just has two seats)

Ryguy 11-11-2013 10:20 PM

I doubt it will be. But you can always remove the back seats and put nos bottles like in the fast and the furious. That's obviously the best option. :driving:

Done. I need two. And I need 'em tonight. :roflpuke2:

I need to re-watch that movie again. So awesome!

Onelownismo 11-12-2013 06:27 AM

LoL..don't get butthurt dude. Although I stated facts, my opinion was also laced in there. I don't know how anything I said could have made you feel ostracized. That's neither here or there. All I'm saying is that "in my opinion" all the things you mentioned in a car, it has minus the 2 seats.

Ryguy 11-12-2013 07:39 AM

On another note, how about this cars and coffee....... :icon17:

Voice59 11-12-2013 07:48 AM

Yeah me and Robin are going. I think we should try to get as many 370's as we can out there. It seemed like we were the only ones.

Ryguy 11-12-2013 07:52 AM

True, it would be pretty sweet. So far our record was 6 Z's, I think we might be able to beat that.

Voice59 11-12-2013 08:19 AM

Maybe...

Ryguy 11-12-2013 10:24 AM

well guys Kai and I can't make us have more than 6, anyone else coming?

Onelownismo 11-12-2013 10:35 AM

I need more details, when/where? Did I miss that somewhere?

Ryguy 11-12-2013 10:45 AM

C & C starts at 8. We don't need to be there right at 8 but I don't want to be to late. I was thinking since we are all pretty scattered over the Hampton Roads area we meet in Hampton instead of Chesapeake or VA Beach. I propose we meet somewhere on mercury blvd right off the freeway. How about the Outback Steakhouse parking lot? Its right off the freeway and it will be easy to get right back on. And we should leave there probably at 7 or 7:15 at the latest. Its suppose to be the 2nd anniversary for doing C & C at the same place so from what that thread says there will be food too. So it should be a good time.

Onelownismo 11-12-2013 10:49 AM

I'm in. Hate waking up early but it should be fun.

Ryguy 11-12-2013 10:51 AM

Yeah last time we headed up there it was a good time. We might be able to get more people this time. There were some other cool cars there. Even an old *** firetruck

I'm in! Outback is right next to my house. What time you think we'll be done?

Ryguy 11-12-2013 11:48 AM

Last time we left Williamsburg around 10-10:30 and went to eat in VA beach. I don't know if we are going to eat after or not. We'll probably decide the day of but obviously you don't have to come eat if you have other plans. And you can leave Car and Coffee whenever you want. Its just a morning meet of car guys/girls. Theres no obligation for how long you need to stay, and no one will judge you (much) if you need to leave early.

Voice59 11-12-2013 12:08 PM

Yeah to everything. LOL And yes I'd like to get something to eat up there. I'll look up the address, cuz I don't really remember how to get there.

Sounds good, Saturday November 16th @ 7am, Outback Steakhouse Parking lot in Hampton off Mercury. Its right near the Pomoco Dealership for those who don't know.

I also don't remember how to get there so we can just get the address and use GPS.

Onelownismo 11-12-2013 05:44 PM

Yay.

Ryguy 11-12-2013 10:01 PM

Seems like we might get the same turnout as last week. Except I haven't heard from john. I hope he's not all butt hurt. You coming John?

Tigger 11-13-2013 06:39 AM

Nope
