It's okay. Guess what's posted to craigslist?

Jsmith7861 09-02-2014 10:40 PM

Already had the cops on it 2 hours ago. Set the dude up...now we just wait and see what the investigation will turn up.

Link to craigslist ad? That ****'s crazy.

Voice59 09-03-2014 11:09 AM

Wait...what's happening?

Jsmith7861 09-03-2014 11:12 AM

A douche bag stole my swifts off my porch, posted them to craigslist an hour later. Unless there's an extreme coincidence. I don't do coincidence.

He was trying to sell them for 600 bucks, and according to him, swifts slam the **** out of your car. On his ad he said 245...he wanted 245 per spring.

whoa!

Onelownismo 09-03-2014 02:08 PM

It's going to be hard to prove they're yours though unless he has the box they were shipped in.

Hope everything comes out good in the end.
If it was him, he is an idiot for posting them the same day he took them.

Keep us posted please!

If the guy isn't him (or it can't be proven) and your concerned about future purchases most shippers give you the option to have them hold the package at their distribution center. Might be a little of a pain to go pick up your order but at least your order goes strait from their hands to yours.

Darketch 09-04-2014 05:17 AM

What did the cops say? Isn't that a federal offense?

Jsmith7861 09-04-2014 01:47 PM

Cops found the mother fucker and recovered the springs. They are holding onto them for now but have enough evidence to turn them over to me when they are done pulling his finger prints off of it. Stupid *******.

Voice59 09-04-2014 02:08 PM

+1 rep to the justice system. LOL

Jsmith7861 09-04-2014 04:33 PM

And this guy just came in the mailhttp://tapatalk.imageshack.com/v2/14...771c9c4a8d.jpg

Anyone need a tail light lol? The one I'm swapping out works just fine but the plastic is broken a bit on the bottom of it.

I will be doing a skyline cruise with my crew if any of you z's are interested. Probably next weekend. Let me know so we can meet up and ride out together.

Darketch 09-06-2014 09:35 PM

I don't think Ill be able to make it, but maybe that will change. Post the details and I'll keep my fingers crossed.

JGuebara14 09-07-2014 12:07 PM

It'd be nice to have another nismo on the team lol

Darketch 09-07-2014 02:07 PM

Always definently interested in drives. We'll see what happens. I'm supposed to be getting a clear bra Friday, and rebuilding my deck Saturday and Sunday so I think I'm going to be jammed up. If I don't make it this weekend, then I believe my car will be torn apart cause of my parts coming in. Point is, I'll make it eventually.

JGuebara14 09-07-2014 04:38 PM

Lol alright well it will be on Saturday if you have a change in plans just shoot me a text 248 508 8620

I might be interested, what are the plans?

JGuebara14 09-07-2014 09:16 PM

Well i haven't been to this skyline location heard it has nice views so I figured me and a few other of my friends will ride out there for a nice cruise check out the view and snap some pics for all DAE Motorsports local car enthusiast club.

Time for some new tires.....I have the 19" so any suggestions for tires? This is my daily driver so no track queen

VABAM 09-07-2014 11:56 PM

:twocents:
If my Z was a daily driver and I didn't swap wheels for the summer months, I would get Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires. They are ultra high performance all season tires. They're good in the cold, wet and light snow. I have a set on my stock rims for the colder months. They work great for the mild winters in the Hampton Roads area. Down side, because they are all seasons they do not have as much grip as a high end summer tire in the warmer months. However IMO they have more grip than the OEM Bridgestones that come with the car.

I'd love to hit you up on that this weekend but unfortunately I've already got plans and I've been away on travel so long I need time at home. I am planning a trip in early october as well. Maybe we can cruise together then if you are available.

I highly recommend BfGoodrich Sport Comp 2's or Hankook Ventus V-12 EVO's. I've had both and have loved them. The BFG's last a bit longer though.

JGuebara14 09-11-2014 06:35 PM

Any one ever taken their car to Hitechtuning or heard of them? In the Chesapeake area. Apparantly they tune gtrs corvettes and most Nissan cars. Im def gonna have to drop by.

Voice59 09-11-2014 06:46 PM

I'm looking into tires myself. I only have a month left to decide before my car is in the shop.

Haven't heard of them, but if u use them, let me know what u think. I may even come up there to check out how it all works.

I can attest to this. I still have mine after 19k miles. Yeah they are starting to look a little rough but still perfectly good for normal use. That also included a couple of hours on an autox track and my daily abuse. And yes, I abused the **** out of these tires. Probably could get a realistic 30k miles out of them under normal use. And I think that's what they were rated for. Either way, not a bad tire. But I still say RE-11 are the way to go!

Voice59 09-12-2014 07:11 PM

The RE-11's look REAL nice! My only issue is that in the winter months in VA they're gonna be crap. Had I still lived in FL there'd be no doubt what I picked. I'm actually still on the border about getting them. It's only "really bad" from late nov. to about mid feb. I might be able to deal with that. LOL

JGuebara14 09-12-2014 08:24 PM

Anyone want to ride out tommorrow to skyline?

i wish. Got plans. I'm pretty much grounded here for the next couple of weeks since I've been away so long. But the leaves are beginning to turn already which I thought was odd. I think I'll definitely try to plan the next Skyline drive for the first or possibly third weekend of October. Cooling down by then and maybe some better scenery.

Mike (onelownismo) and I did mine.

Tigger 09-15-2014 12:14 AM

If anyone is down for this, I'm going to consider this my final cruise. Skyline will be nice but I have a feeling it won't happen. Anyway, this will be a nice cruise. The area is really nice and it'll be a lot of fun. Post in the thread if you intend to go and whoever wants to can cruise out with me to head up.
