So what is everyone up to Saturday? I know it's getting colder out, and will be kinda crappy on Saturday. However, I am willing to open my door to everyone if there isn't much else to do. BYOB. BYOF. BYOG.

Got back Saturday. Got family in town, but I was able to sneak off for a quick spin around the block today. Had a warning pop up saying the road conditions were icy. First time I've taken my car out when it's been that cold. Very cool indicator - didn't know I had it. Everyone here uses their Z as a DD, anything I should know about for winter driving?

Leave traction control on, don't be heavy on the throttle.

Just be cautious overall, especially if you don't have all season tires which I'm pretty sure you don't. The road gets slippery quick when it's cold out, and if there's any snow, I'd recommend just not driving haha.

Very sound advice. I honestly didn't think about tires. I have the original yoko tires on it. Even in the summer if its raining, I don't drive my Z. I certainly wouldn't drive it in the snow. Thanks!

Tires in general don't have as much traction when they are cold and when you throw in a cold ground they take much longer to warm as well as your engine so you'll have to wait longer to heat up (but that goes without saying) and another thing to think about is since it's cold your car will make more hp so half throttle might get you going a little faster. But you're only talking a couple hp really. Just some food for thought.

I saw on the C&C FB page someone posted this

"NOV 30 this next Saturday at Hall Mitsubishi on holland road 8am - 10 am there will be a meet and greet all cars and trucks are welcome. Atlantic autosports will be there and there will be refreshments there also."

Food for thought if anyone wants to roll up there. I don't know what my schedule looks like yet since I have family in town. (Don't know when they're leavin!) I haven't been to Atlantic Autosports yet. Interested in what they'll have at their booth for Black Saturday.
