Time for some new tires.....I have the 19" so any suggestions for tires? This is my daily driver so no track queen

If my Z was a daily driver and I didn't swap wheels for the summer months, I would get Continental ExtremeContact DWS tires. They are ultra high performance all season tires. They're good in the cold, wet and light snow. I have a set on my stock rims for the colder months. They work great for the mild winters in the Hampton Roads area. Down side, because they are all seasons they do not have as much grip as a high end summer tire in the warmer months. However IMO they have more grip than the OEM Bridgestones that come with the car.

Well i haven't been to this skyline location heard it has nice views so I figured me and a few other of my friends will ride out there for a nice cruise check out the view and snap some pics for all DAE Motorsports local car enthusiast club.

I'd love to hit you up on that this weekend but unfortunately I've already got plans and I've been away on travel so long I need time at home. I am planning a trip in early october as well. Maybe we can cruise together then if you are available.

I highly recommend BfGoodrich Sport Comp 2's or Hankook Ventus V-12 EVO's. I've had both and have loved them. The BFG's last a bit longer though.

Any one ever taken their car to Hitechtuning or heard of them? In the Chesapeake area. Apparantly they tune gtrs corvettes and most Nissan cars. Im def gonna have to drop by.

Voice59 09-11-2014 06:46 PM

I'm looking into tires myself. I only have a month left to decide before my car is in the shop.

I can attest to this. I still have mine after 19k miles. Yeah they are starting to look a little rough but still perfectly good for normal use. That also included a couple of hours on an autox track and my daily abuse. And yes, I abused the **** out of these tires. Probably could get a realistic 30k miles out of them under normal use. And I think that's what they were rated for. Either way, not a bad tire. But I still say RE-11 are the way to go!

Voice59 09-12-2014 07:11 PM

The RE-11's look REAL nice! My only issue is that in the winter months in VA they're gonna be crap. Had I still lived in FL there'd be no doubt what I picked. I'm actually still on the border about getting them. It's only "really bad" from late nov. to about mid feb. I might be able to deal with that. LOL

i wish. Got plans. I'm pretty much grounded here for the next couple of weeks since I've been away so long. But the leaves are beginning to turn already which I thought was odd. I think I'll definitely try to plan the next Skyline drive for the first or possibly third weekend of October. Cooling down by then and maybe some better scenery.

If anyone is down for this, I'm going to consider this my final cruise. Skyline will be nice but I have a feeling it won't happen. Anyway, this will be a nice cruise. The area is really nice and it'll be a lot of fun. Post in the thread if you intend to go and whoever wants to can cruise out with me to head up.
