I finally got my car tuned yesterday. She's putting down 310hp/260tq. I thought it would be a little higher but I think the midrange is really where most of my gains were. It feels great and really responsive now. I think if I want to see bigger gains I need headers. I doubt I'll ever go FI. I'm very happy for now though.

So you officially have no reason to bow out of a meet since your car must not be in pieces anymore. :p

Chris Hoover at Moore Automotive did it. Nice guy, did a great job. Even hooked me up with a little discount.

Onelownismo,

how long did it take him to tune your car... how much would I expect to pay... did you buy any equipment?

He quoted me $700 but gave me a $50 break. It took him about 2.5 hrs. No I didn't buy anything other than an Uprev License which is half of the tuning cost. He said if I take it back to get retuned for any reason it will really only be about $150-250.

we should get together for something today...nothing major. just maybe a time slot in each of our schedules on our way to do something else.

Onelownismo, thanks for the info... Kai, I'm finishing my capstone project today... maybe next week... I have a training session at 0800 next Saturday, but I'm free after 9ish and i'll be out near VA beach area... maybe we could meet up at Starbucks or something...

Tigger 03-29-2015 01:12 PM

Yeah I just landed in El Paso. I'll be gone for the week. Getting back Friday afternoon. Should be able to do something next weekend.

Running4Mayor 03-29-2015 01:44 PM

Damn Im just seeing this... I should be free Saturday too

Onelownismo 03-29-2015 01:45 PM

Kai I'm at work until 19:30, maybe after that if I don't head to my GF's place.

I can definitely do something next weekend though (except Saturday during the day).
