side note: i'll probably got to pick up the bypass harness with wireless remote control (setting it up with the homelink buttons) in a few weeks to finish my backup cam project.

A word of advice on the Stillen kit... I purchased the front fascia awhile back when I first bought my car. Thought it would be simple. Found a local body shop that looked solid. The guy wound up being more about quantity than quality. Even through a second paint job to get a better color match which was damn near impossible for us KAD color types he also refused to do a proper fitment. Wound up getting so pissed off I pulled the Stillen off and put the OEM back on after some secondary issues came up due to improper fitment. I spent $1,500 plus cost for rental cars and vacation time to get the project done. Sold it for $300.

If you want to do body work... well, good luck. Especially around here.

nice to know thanks...

What about the Amuse or Furjimura kit? that was my next choices...

Tigger 02-15-2015 11:15 PM

Amuse is played out imo. Get that damn fujimura kit that's been for sale in the classifieds for awhile. ****. I want it. Lol. Likely the best damn body kit you'll ever find. And fitment should be spot on. If you can swing it, do it. I'd love to see that kit become a real deal locally.

Man, I thought about it. but want a force induction kit and some serious wheels before I would get a body kit. plus it fiberglass... my last body kit was made in japan by a company called Accolade... sweet looking but not durable... I spent so much money repair it I ended up selling my car and buying a RX8.

I wonder how a carbon fiber kit will hold up...

Bryan delivered the FI exhaust today and it look great! The hobby shop is closed today... now I have to wait until this weekend for the install. However, the Stillen CAI is coming tomorrow. I should be able to do that in my garage.

so tempted on getting that full carbon fiber Amuse kit in the classified section. I would probably paint it, but leave certain area alone to expose the carbon fiber... I seen a Z with the Amuse kit, sport spoiler, and sport wheels that doesn't look bad...

such a good deal imo...

Whatever you like man! I saw a guy once that had a duckbill spoiler that painted most of it but faded in opacity to slowly show the carbon fiber. He had a 40th though. Very cool. Might try something like that. But be warned. CF is very stark against GM. I purchased a Nismo CF wing once and set in on the hatch and immediately wrapped it up and sold it. Just something to consider before you rush into body mods.

no I feel ya... I want to do performance over appearance but this seems to be a good deal... still weighing my options...

anxiously awaiting for my Stillen G3 today... I got my exhaust in my trunk ready to go... too bad the hobby shop is closed today... I think I might end up going to Sears to buy the Craftsman's 3 ton jack stands (2 pairs) and impact wrench w/deep socket set... smh

Is ANYTHING open today? Seriously. I refuse to even pull my car out of the garage. Are they delivering anything at all?

Looking at the weather forcast, my Z may stay in the garage until next Monday. And I bought a NISMO exhaust Saturday (craigslist) and put the muffler on with the AAM midpipe and really wanted to drive it this week.

bkngo that FI exhaust has only seen rain once and that is because it started raining while I was at work.

Stillen CAI installed... sounds great

Bryan, the FI exhaust look new and I was very impressed on the quality... I can't wait until this weekend to install it.

I saw Pizza Hut delivered pizza to one of my neighbors while I was working on the car in the garage today. I might have to order some tomorrow lol...

So, I installed my 6K hid bulbs and of course one of them is bad... I contacted the seller (left a message because of after hours) and hopefully they will send me a replacement bulb... going to be a pain in the butt removing the bumper and getting to the headlights again...

Bit the bullet and ordered new resonated test pipes from Fast intentions. Too bad it'll be 4 weeks before I get them. My car will get back on the road eventually.....
