I don't think so. The VLSD clutches (in the Sport Pkg.) are sealed and do not put particles into the differential gearing. The VLSD clutch is Viscous coupling - not conventional clutch discs. This is what I've recently read anyhow. Also, the VLSD diff. should not require "friction modifiers" if I understand correctly.

Anyone, please correct me if I'm wrong.

I would also highly suggest adding this along with your oil..the stock diff cover has a very small capacity and the diff generates a lot of heat.

If you go this route with the Z1 cover and are also installing upgraded diff bushings, I suggest opting for the Whiteline bushings over the Energy Suspension bushings. The ES bushings have a little collar that faces the front of the car that obstructs the diff from seating in proper position to install the side bolts. Z1 has assured me that it is possible to "squish" the bushing in far enough to fit the diff with the upgraded cover, but I put all my might into it and could not accomplish this feat. Further, it seems like an improper installation of the bushing to me. By comparison, the whiteline bushing goes in very easily.

I do not have experience with the Z1 bushings, but I gotta believe they'll work properly with the Z1 cover.
