There's a lime green beetle at work with flower petal wheels and the eyelashes on the headlights... even has matching flower in the dash console haha.

They're not bad, but I do think the GTI is overpriced.

My brother got his Golf R for 34.5 OTD because we caught the dealership with their pants down.

Yeah it was either the V or the GTI. I paid literally 8 grand less than I would have for a GTI. Plus the navigation in the GTI is terrible. The GTI's insurance was also 30 bucks more a month. But I have nothing but respect for that car, but I wasnt looking to spend 32 grand for a car.

The Golf R that was at the vw dealership in sterling wanted 40 grand when they had theirs. And somebody bought it!

Yeah I had the 2001 GTI VR6. Great car when it ran but they had quality control issues. Had to get my window regulator replaced twice within 6 months and the check engine light was forever on.

The real gripe I have is the VW dealer network here in the states. They are straight up CROOKS. My airbag light went on so I took it in. Since it is a safety problem it is covered free of charge regardless of mileage/warranty but these guys tried to say I had to pay 800.00 to ship it out to Germany etc. I kindly said FFFFUUUUU and reported them to VW Corporate. Service manager was later fired lol.

$40k for a fvcking Golf???!?!!!?!! What a retard. You could have an FI'd Z (used) for that much or even an FRS/BRZ (new) and end up with a 20x better car.

I would never spend that much money on a VW car even if I was loaded with cash.. no way. Absolutely not.

Some people arent looking for flat out performance. Some people want the entire package. The frs/brz are both relatively fine performance cars, but they lack the "class" that the Golf R has. The Golf's interior is also top notch and very quiet. VW has hands down the BEST interiors and the Golf shows it. Now would it be worth 40 grand? fvck no, but low 30's? absolutely.

I just wonder whoever designs their cars, have that team wake up, and make a more aggressive/ sportier looking car. Its 2013, not 1988.
