Isnt the GTI made by VW?

Yes.

If I was spending any sort of money like that though it would be a used 325i or a used s4 or an is350.

eastwest2300 01-11-2013 08:31 AM

I am sooo not a VW fan, all their cars look plan as hell...seriously.

To each their own, but the GTI has one of the nicest interiors for the price, and it is incredibly fun to drive. It's one of my favorite cars on the market. And the Golf R is that turned up to 11.

But I understand people have their automotive biases. I do as well.

I personally would get the Golf R if it was priced a bit lower.

Gotta agree with Shado too, the interiors in VW's are some of the best in the segment. Dash stroking FTW!!!!

Well yeah but I wasnt looking to pay 32 grand. When I buy cars I get them fully loaded. I was not going to pay 32OTD for an autobahn GTI. Is the GTI nicer? I test drove one and yes it was. I drove the snot out of the GTI annd it handled fine but had 200lbs on the V and the same performance numbers. In a straight line, they were about the same. It did have a dual clutch tranny though.

But I wasnt looking for performance. Just a cheap DD.

But thank you.

The Golf r super nice. But IMO overpriced. The markup on them is insane. But their interiors are super high class. As are Audi's obviously.

lol not my fault :bowrofl: I never do. I generally don't need all the whistles and baubles. but again, to each their own. I'd have been looking at a GTI in the mid-20s range with the plaid cloth seats :yum:

My brother got his Golf R for 34.5 OTD because we caught the dealership with their pants down.
