When I checked 2 years ago the GT-R was $6/month cheaper than the Z.

You're high. I got a quote from USAA just now and it's $88.00 more per month than the Z.

dmhenderson 01-13-2013 09:58 AM

For the record, I have a flawless driving record. No tickets and no 'at fault' accidents so I make a pretty good control.

prob because the rates change every 6months depending on the area... when the gtr first came out it was cheeper to insure.. it goes up every year just like the price tag... its that way with a lot of cars.. when a new model comes out they are unsure how to rate them, so usualy its lower.. then after time passes things like accidents cost of repair etc.. will change the price to insure...

I'm actually headed out now to do groceries. The pumpkin flavored mix they sell at Trader Joe's is on my list to get.

Insurance rates vary wildly for so many reasons, I can accept both of these as true. :roflpuke2:

quite possibly. The car just doesn't devalue. That's a great thing for current owners, bad thing for used market speculators.

Same with the WRX. Holds its value too well. :icon17:

Drives me nuts. The price increase every year did wacky things to resale.

Modded and you can read the ecm to see if launched. I see no problems. Go on natgroc and you can find members selling them at those prices quite a lot and usually upgraded to lc5. Also I would recommend waiting gen 6 gtrs are out next spring so we can expect 09-10s dropping to the 50 range easy .

Hey what do all you pay per month for insurance on your Z's?

I'm at $135

I was actually sitting next to a guy on a plane the other day that mentioned his GTR had outperformed his portfolio.

He bought in July 09 for ~$70K, and could sell it today for $65K.

Apparently holding 93% of it's value was more than could be said for his 401K

Uh, the GTR's been improving in leaps and bounds since it's come out, and the '09 models are still selling for a lot.

Although I agree, nagtroc is a fantastic resource for all things GTR. I was snooping there a while ago when I was toying with the idea of buying GTR rims for the zed.

I'm at like $85, but it's under my dad's name.
