The nice thing about the GoPro is they are stripped down and cheap, you can run whatever editing software you want, and there's a ton of good free stuff


Making their own would probably force them to add $100 to the price of every camera.

If you are willing to pay the $100, I recommend Premiere Elements or Pinnacle Systems' Studio Plus 9. It is much better than anything the guys at Half Moon could put together, even at double the price. Pick whichever you prefer.
