Default Curb Rash!!! NOO!!!

SH!T!!!

Just curb rashed two wheels this morning on a three inch curb I did not see. Anyhoo...local powder coating shop here quoted me $125-$150 a wheel which includes prep (removal/installation of the wheels are not included). This includes just showing up with the wheels and no tires. Sounds like a decent price to me...thoughts?

There was a thread on this a couple days ago. The prices ranged from $40 to $150 depending on how complex the color was.

There was a thread in the mid-atlantic forums? I don't go to the other ones. They are full of drivel.

Looking for local mid atlantic prices.

That's a decent price. ASCO down in VA charges $125 per for a 19" wheel. A shop like D&V will charge you $250 per, but you can leave the car with them and they handle mounting and dismounting of the tires.

Took a road rashed wheel from my son's VW R32 to this place in Northern VA:
A+ Detailing & Wheel Repair

Excellent job; cost me $75. Looks brand new.

Take pictures and send to them for a price quote.

Yeah, finding a place around here to mount the tires after I get the job done will be interesting as hell! But honestly, the fact that these guys are like 2 miles away from me makes the price a lot better...even if it is a little more expensive. But honestly, is an extra $125 bucks a tire worth them mounting the tires? Expensive as hell if you ask me, I don't care what you "specialize" in.

ShipPoint in Hollywood, MD. They do work mostly on bikes (frames and what not) but have done wheels in the past. I guess they do a lot of work for a Harley place up the road as well as a lot of work for the Government. I've heard they even powder coat things such as helicopter blades...so I'm pretty sure they must know wtf they are doing. I'll know more the next couple days when I go check out their facility.
