Everything was going smoothly till we started putting the paint on. Seems like the combination of the high temps and humidity caused the paint to come out weird. It was like bubbling and not going on smoothly. We did the best we could and I think it turned out alright. Might need to do a little wet sanding and put on another coat of clear to smooth them out a little more. Not bad for a first time DIY though.

Yeah we actually had to sand down some of the bubbling and repaint it

Still not bad considering I did all 4 wheels for less than how much it would cost to get one done professionally. They're gonna be covered in brake dust like 90% of the time anyway

Yup my base wheels, but I have had the plasti dip taken off for a while now.

You know if I were to plastidip the base rims, I'd completely have the tire removed, and do the entire rim, inside and out, I think it'd look good doing it that way.

And then the plasti dip would get ripped off when they put your tire back on

That's why I decided to paint instead of plasti dip. Not much point in doing the inside of the wheel to me. Its gonna stay pretty dirty from the brake dust anyway. With a dark color wheel, you honestly don't even notice it.
